more love for this, I go to the library all the time, you can browse the catalogs online, pick out a ton of books, they will actually get them all together for you/shipped to one branch, and than you can just pick them up at your leisure. If they dont have a book they will buy it for you also

Without going into too much detail, since i don't want to be infracted. But generally I acquire the video files, use my PC as media server, and connect to it with my PS3. Is this the "best" way?

A lot of intersections have a small bright white light above the traffic signal. When that light turns on, it means there is an emergency vehicle approaching the intersection, so be wary.

this is also the device that triggers the light change when an emergency vehicle/or a civillian car with a MIRT attached approaches

- Adding onto someone else's advice - Keep napkins somewhere in your car that is easy to grab. If you are ever eating while driving or just find yourself with random stuff on you that you want to wipe off. In fact, just stocking your car with random things people are always asking for like "Does anyone have aspirin?", etc. will make you seem a very nice guy. Change of clothes, first aid, tool box, jumper cables, etc.

- Don't eat at mid level restaurants like Applebee's, Chilis, etc. EVER. I was a line cook for a Ruby Tuesday and was friends with people at ever similar restaurant you could imagine. They are all filled with idiots who don't know how to cook and basically reheat or deep fry everyone. Nothing is fresh, do not be fooled. Since nowadays you can easily pay $10 a person at these places, save your money and cook at home for another night. Then go to a $15-20 a person restaurant where they actually cook and enjoy the good food.

- This is something 99% of people know, but to those who don't it will help you tons when drinking. Drink as much water as possible before going to bed. It's actually better to get in the habit of drinking a glass after every drink or two drinks, but if you can't spend 30 minutes before you pass out guzzling more water than you ever thought possible to consume. Your hangover will be soooo much less painful.

-when I get out of my car to pump gas I zing my card first and then start undoing my gas cap. By the time I'm done removing the cap, the CC authorization is complete and I just pick the grade.

Well it's at least connected to said device. I'm pretty sure the previous poster that claimed flashing your headlights works is dead wrong.

Ya, they are all-in-one, its basically just an infrared receiver that lights up/sends a signal to change the lights when an ambulance approaches. And yes, flashing your lights at traffic signals does not and never has worked

This is a good one. I am aware of it and still don't take advantage of it as much as I should.

Also, expanding on this notion, if you are in a university town, university libraries are the nuts and are usually open to the public to use with maybe one or two extra little hoops. And their selections are SO MUCH BIGGER. Just absolutely fantastic.

Reminded me of when I was in college, all my stupid friends joined Golds Gym or whatever while I joined the campus gym which was like 1/10 the price, had great equipment, and had amazing hot college chicks in short shorts

i really don't know if this is true at other schools but if you are in college check to see if your library has movies to rent. my school's library basically has a free movie rental service which is absolutely awesome.

Most regular libraries have that here in Arizona, and the check-out length on them is shorter than books. But the quality is hit and miss, as you could expect.

for us it is pretty awesome, maybe because my college has a really big film school but it is pretty rare that they just won't have a movie you want. occasionally you'll have to plan ahead if it gets checked out a lot but only one or two movies i have wanted and they didn't have at all.

Buy a toothbrush with a tongue scraper on the back imo.

Do you love canned soup but hate pouring it into a bowl and making a mess? Next time, open the can and take your bowl and put it on top(bottom of the bowl up obv.). Hold the bowl and can together and flip them over. Now, slowly lift up the can and voila! Soup into bowl with no mess.
