For anyone who is interested, I told my case manager that i just couldn't take the Haldol any more, and she found me an assistance program from the drug company so I may be able to get back on my old meds even before the Medicaid comes through. So there are resources out there but it's almost impossible for a novice to navigate them.

I always thought of him as the dude from the big lebowski...except on roids. He was a kind, older poster that gave good advice most of the time. He had a run in with Ted Bundy as a kid and is bisexual.

He paid the bet up front IIRC. Whatever tyler's flaws (and I agree with you about a lot of his posting), I don't see any hint of dishonor in how he approaches bets.

Ah, gotcha; my mistake.

I'm actually unconvinced that he bailed over being proven wrong, because it seems like he would have bailed on Babs at some point as well. I'm not sure he ever really accepted being wrong.

Tyler tried to send money to Alobar way before the bet was over and declare himself a looser when it was still very close to 50/50 in my mind.

He was honorable in the bet.

His absence is hopefully voluntary.

Maybe he's still just working on his book. Either way, I think some posters grew frustrated at his posts because they felt he was enabling M, despite his usual good advice. I liked him and thought he contributed a lot.

There was a period in late April/early May where we moved on from like 13/16 days. Of course we're moving on!
