DiB, speaking generally, what part of the country do you live in? I have occasional need of a dog-sitter. Our property is sufficiently large that you can let the dogs crap where they wish and leave it to be picked up upon my return.

The only reason you wouldn't pick up after your dog is laziness. It doesn't matter what justifications you come up with. Are you obese?

Maybe your doctor suggested the dog walking job?

You chose to walk the dog whether it's yours or your friends.

You have no right at all letting the dog take a dump on someones lawn. Take the dog to a park or something ffs. There they have bags/bins and yes you do have to pick up after the dog since i'm pretty sure the dog can't do it him/herself (unless the dog is a super dog).
