Not super invested in this chik fil a thing, but did learn because of it via Facebook that a former high school friend is now a raving lunatic nativist national front supporter, so that's pretty cool.

I think most people would be looking at the $700m as being spent on getting civil cases dropped and being able to operate in the US when legislation allows. (plus getting the FTP database, software and staff)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oeslAqeTEc is the track that made them big (in breakbeat terms anyway) - and I love it - but I think you could argue that the production quality does sound like it's from 1999. My first ever club night was in '99 at Fabric to see Hybrid live and they had half the Russian Federal Orchestra playing there.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7f4FLUwuP0 is in a similar vein.

And they're giving it directly to the DOJ, who will be in charge of figuring out the procedure for players to petition them for the refunds, so enjoy your cashout in Nov 2018 or so.
Not to mention I had like 4x as much $$$ worth of points as I had actual cash on the site, which they'll probably let me exchange for 53 cases of surplus extra-small FT hoodies or something, if I'm lucky.

My point was they are not putting out that kind of money for US stuff if they did not have insider belief that they will be able to get into the US in the very near future.

Re: *****OOT August LC Thread SMH*****
My friend bought a puppy 2 weeks ago. The building he lives in does not allow dogs unless you've already owned one for 90 days. Lots of people have dogs there so it seems like no one reports people who get new ones, which is why he decided to take the chance. Well, 2 weeks go by and he gets a notice that the dog is being evicted. He is now considering selling his apartment and finding somewhere else to live so he can keep the dog, or alternatively fighting the decision in court which will be very expensive and fruitless.
To me, this is crazy; as much as you can love a dog after 2 weeks, well...it's just 2 weeks! Find a home for the dog (not hard, it's a desirable breed and really young), get a cat, and move on with your life. Am I being coldhearted?

I have no opinion, I just want to point out that a Google search for the phrase "get a cat, and move on with your life" currently returns no results.

Dude... you spend 2 weeks around a puppy and try not to fall in love with it. Being adorable and bonding with you is like the point of a puppy.

Cat people do not move on from things. You just sit and dwell and pet a cat.

Also, how good a friend are you with this guy? Any chance you can snag his apartment under market?

LOL I better not use that phrase around him or he'll find this thread!

He's a motivated seller. I could probably get the apartment for 2 puppies and a pack of pee pads.

Re: *****OOT August LC Thread SMH*****
Hey Dids (and other Washingtonians), what are your thoughts on the new liquor law? I could be wrong since I didn't pay too close attention, but I thought that thing passed because voters thought it would mean cheaper liquor (because Costco is selling it, ldo). It's pretty lol that now liquor is way more expensive and sales at Oregon and Idaho border stores are up 35%.
