mini putt, local festivals, fireworks, walk along boardwalk, grab gelato or froyo, arcade game type place... basically an activity that is "fun", gives you freedom to move around, relax, get to know each other further and isn't physically intense where she would break sweat.

If you choose an activity where she's going to break a sweat, you're hurting yourself big time. She'll also want to end date ASAP after activity is over as she won't feel pretty once she starts sweating and will want to change clothes, reapply makeup etc..

I think freedom to move around is key for second date as it provides ample opportunities to ratchet up the physical contact and start really vibing, which is usually a challenge on first dates. The big problem with many first dates is you're pretty much stuck staring at each other with a barrier between you (table).

It's completely standard to say "had a good time, see you soon" at the end of a date even if you don't really mean it. And the girl might not want a second date for a myriad of reasons many of which might have nothing to do with you.

For early dates, I would drop the "dinner" from dinner and drinks. Just go out for drinks, and if you feel like continuing, then grab ice cream, head to a different bar, or go for a walk in a park or whatever. I save dinner and movies for girls I've already been intimate with.

So I matched with this girl of N. African descent with a really, really unfortunate first name. She might as well be named Hitler b/c the reactions would be similar. If you're familiar with female Muslim names, then you might have an idea what it is. Me, I don't give a ****, it doesn't bother me, but I could see it being a problem down the road if we eventually started seeing each other and introducing her to friends and family. But she's super attractive (probably doesn't get as much attention from guys due to her name), seems cool from our brief back and forth, and doesn't seem to be a practicing Muslim (not that I have anything against that particular religion, I just probably wouldn't date a person practicing any religion).

Just curious how others would react in this situation. As stated before, I don't care, it's just a name, it doesn't define her, and wouldn't prevent me from continuing to see her, but imagining me introducing her to my conservative Midwest family could be the script for a comedy.

The last few dates where I knew there was no chemistry on both sides, maybe it was rude, but I legit just said "it was nice meeting you, I didn't feel a connection but best of luck out there"
