I told her what I consider to be my number. It's pretty normal and she believed me/it was around her expectations.

At what number should I start lying and saying a lower number? Kinda feel like at 20-99 I should replace the first number with a 1 to avoid scaring them off if they're <10. Maybe try to get them to give it first and cap it at 2x their number.

Say you don't know? Do most people keep track of these things? I don't.

If it's less than X, most people already know their number without deliberately keeping track.

Even just simply knowing your number or not can be sufficiently revealing to folks who ask that question.

Try slightly changing the subject. Something like "I've been tested recently and I'm clean, if that's what you're getting at."

Just refuse.

Change the subject. If she presses you, ask if she's only counting the consensual.

I'm no Casanova, but at 48 years old and only having been married for a year of my life and actively dating all the other time, that number has grown larger than I would know offhand, and it would be difficult to reconstruct even if I wanted to do so.
