Mine still shows visitors

My app did, but then I closed and reopened and they went away.

I'm not that old, but this post made me weirdly nostalgic for when the (seeming) meta on OKCupid was to exchange emails before the 1st date, not phone #s.

I never had A-list, but think this is a really bad change. Can't imagine anyone didn't browse profiles because they were afraid someone would know they did. Some women don't like to make the first contact, but you can tell they may be interested in they browse you, especially more than once. Of course OKC has a history of making unpopular changes without giving a good reason, and not addressing the complaints.

Lost some weight and got some more recent pics at an event.

Old pic isn't a great pic but you don't actually look heavy in it.

Pic 2 is better, but not great.

Pics 3 and 4 the suit + stretching to the side + marginally closer to the camera than the other guy (and the fact that you're a broad shouldered guy) actually make you look pretty wide/fat. Like, I don't think your waist is 2x his, but it sure looks it.

I'd probably roll with pic 4 because regardless, you look good, you look like the type of guy who goes to fun but fancy events and may occasionally hang out on boats.

The jacket looks like it'd be perfect for someone 50 pounds bigger than you are

You should wear a hat when outside on sunny days, especially near bodies of water. Or else wear a lot of sunscreen on your head.

So they sent me an email about how they eliminated visitors and why. And I haven't had OKC since April.

I got that email too, but I think those are really stupid reasons for eliminating it.

I remember okcupid putting out a bunch of interesting stats a while back regarding messaging and responses and whatnot. I wouldn't be surprised if they have actual data backing up the whole knowing who visits you being useless assertion.

I've messaged, and went out with a fair amount of women that would view my profile, didn't like me back, but were responsive/keen. Having said that, all the relationships I had from there were from mutual likes.

Speaking of passing up free bangs: I'm visiting Strasbourg for 3 days and matched with a fairly cute girl, nice body, but meh face. We watched a 10 minute light show then grabbed a drink. She's one of those girls that loves to her herself talk and gives the impression that she's only half listening to what you say. When you're speaking in your second language and trying to follow everything in a loud bar, it doesn't exactly make for a great evening.

Anyway, I guess I did something right b/c we went for a walk around the city afterwards and she was leaning closer when I initiated some touching so soon after we started to make out and she was actually a really great kisser. Eventually we made our way back to the street I'm staying on (she knew it was my street and had parked her bike there earlier) and I didn't even invite her up even though it would have probably been a slam dunk yes.

It was 2:45AM and I was pretty tired and at that hour she would have had to stay over and I figured I'd probably have had to listen to her chatter all of the next morning too, so I passed. 20-year old me would be extremely disappointed right now, and I was turned on, but I guess I'm at the point where sex with someone I'm not that into isn't worth the hassle.

That's going to happen way more than you want to admit from now on.

I think I've passed on poon 4 times recently cause I was tired,or just tired of them flapping their gums.

My guess is that people with very little success on the site are more likely to quit when it's shoved in their face that hardly anyone is even looking at their profile.

So I just got bumble after hearing some decent things about it from friends, I'm an online dating fish.

You guys know what's gto first picture, smile, not smile, with someone else?

This is my current one but maybe it's too stern/serious and gives off the wrong impression. Would be interested to hear some thoughts on success rates on matches based on types of photos from you regs here.
