But I'm flying in and out of Reno so I added 2 extra nights in Reno afterwards because I've never been and it's free.
I'll be doing most of the stuff on that list in tahoe but want some other things to do. I'll be solo so I'm thinking maybe going hiking, parasailing, or jet skiing. One thing not listed on the itinerary is that there is also a boat they'll bring us out on for a sunset so that'll be cool. Restaurant recommendations? Looking for mainly local cheap restaurants. I'm not much of a beach person but will probably get down there at least once. I'm expecting lake tahoe to be paradise. I won't be gambling much.
In Reno I'm expecting a west coast version of current AC. Probably will suck but I'm sure there has to be some cool stuff to do for a first timer. I'll probably be playing some poker here.
Edit... I'm going solo but I'll know a small handful of people from my local casino making the same trip. They are all older than me (32) and traveling with spouses, so yeah. But, a friend from high school is a host a Harrahs and she told me she'll introduce me to some of her friends.
Drink a lot and wear sunscreen when outside. If you have a car, drive around the lake. There are a bunch of hiking options that a Google search will turn up.
I've always felt the food scene in Tahoe was meh, better options in Truckee, but it's like an hour away. Reno has a cool Basque place and Hash House if you're into that. Minor league baseball stadium is across the street from Harrah's Reno.
