Where did you get this from?

A lot was from The Lost Experience- the online game between two of the seasons. Magnus Hanso was the owner of the ship - it was on the blast door map (and part of some of the interactive games).

I was watching some episodes on Sci-Fi, and was trying to remember exactly how Widmore's boat knew where to go to find the island. Did something trigger them when they got near the island - or did they just go directly to that point 3 miles from the island?

I think they had Naomi's phone/radio/handheld which locked in the locatio

Naomi came from the boat. How did she find the island when she parachuted in?

Was it the black box the ship's captain had from 815?

When the swan imploded, it set off a beacon that Penny's people saw in the arctic or where ever they were. So either Widmore is spying on Penny, or Penny is not all 'good'. I don't think we really know who is good or bad yet, fwiw.

Also, the ledger that Widmore bought at the auction could have helped in his locating where it was.

I'm thinking the ledger from the Black Rock that Widmore bought at the auction probably had some sort of directions as to how, or what coordinates to use, to enter the island's space.

Pretty much - I forgot about the ledger. That could explain it.

just a random thought - i know it gets goofy with time travel and all of that..

but instead of the Black Rock being a slave ship that accidentally found the island..

how about a ship full of slaves looking for the island - and intending to use the slaves either as workers

even crazier - due to time travel - will widmore actually end up being a hanso? (who has changed his name)
