@rugby
Haha, I personally think Sheldon looks pretty clean. I look more .... worn out. I used to weigh like 140 pounds back when I hated eating but have come up to a reasonable +-180 pounds.

Trainspotting worn out?

I am also 5'9"

If spaceman doesn't fit the hipster nerd skinny jeans wearing man child that I have in my head I'd be very surprised
01-05-2015 , 05:44 AM
I'm an old man.
01-05-2015 , 05:48 AM
That is a great one, never thought about that. I always thought he would be a scruffy small skinny dude with dirty pants and stuff but now you've mentioned it he could be a pretty clean hipster guy.

My last pic in the LC was pretty bad so I'm going to continue that streak.

Spoiler:

@Falcon
I guess the funny comes with the ages AMIRITE?!

"with dirty pants and stuff" what?
01-05-2015 , 05:56 AM
Nah not that kind of 'dirty' I meant I'd take you more for a hard rock kind of guy with the more baggy/oversized/trashed/'dirty' kind of pants, longish blonde hair (like jacks in SOA). Short and a little thick maybe. Never thought you could be a hipster with the skinnies.

I kind of wished I had Sheldon's face, always have been a sucker for that clean/whiteish face.

I've come to live with a more scruffy alternative which is fine imo, I mean, for every wanna be Sheldon face'er out there, there is that same guy who wished he could get an evenly growing beard like I can so I guess we all have our benefits.

You left out the option of not taking a kid on a plane if they can't be trusted to not bother the other passengers.

Even though my hatred for kids is rooted pretty deeply, I'm sure that isn't a real option.
01-05-2015 , 07:57 AM
For the recent holidays I had family members with small children drive more than 14 hours instead of flying. So, yes, it is an option.
01-05-2015 , 08:02 AM
I didnt mean to say it wasn't an option at all. Just in some cases you're going to have no other option at all. How many days did the drive up take them ?
01-05-2015 , 08:07 AM
Driving from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur could have been a little difficult, especially with a 3 year old to slow you down.

Edit. For you Americans, those are two foreign places with water in between.

Surely this is what gaffer tape was invented for.

lol, at thinking other people should drive 14 hours to avoid the possibility of inconveniencing you on a commercial flight.

Audible volume on a kid's electronic device on an an airplane is worthy of hatred almost all the time. I agree that there are some limiting cases, but 95+% of the time I'm exposed to this, the parents do not even try to get the kid to be quiet. If I see a parent doing the right thing and trying to get the kid to be quiet, I'm much more sympathetic to the situation. I'm deeply hostile when I see the parent either pretending to ignore the situation or handling it poorly.

My kids are somewhat older now, but both were entirely able to STFU on an an airplane by the time they were three, and we insisted on it -- and tried even before then. I can remember exactly one flight where one of my kids imploded; she was 18 months old and screamed the entire time, then vomited on me. And we fly a fair amount -- three or four trips every year.

I cleaned out much of my closet, donating almost every piece of clothing I haven't worn in the last year. I also started clearing out the junk-collecting drawers in my bathroom, and have detected signs of early neurosis: I had thirteen different chapsticks in the top two drawers alone. There may be more in the bottom two drawers, so stay tuned.

Aisle all the way for me. The only time I get a window seat is when the flight is very short (~1hr) or when there is a great landmark to see from the window and the flight is not over 2-3 hours. The freedom to stand up whenever you want in a long flight is highly valuable for me.

Emergency row window is good though.

I thought I would clean my mothers house as a present. Clean the yard, garage and organize her kitchen. I figured it would take me two days. I have been at it for over two weeks.

Just sorting through a hoarders ****. I have thrown out over 100 left over gift bags. Organizing the kitchen has been alarming. The neurosis is setting in. She had like 10 jars of the same tomato sauce, 12 liters of veg oil, 5 big things of heinz ketchup and 33 lemons. She doesnt cook, never hosts any parties, and is single.

The upshot. I dropped a bunch of hockey crap off at the good will and got 30rock season 2 on dvd for 2.99
01-05-2015 , 11:21 AM
I'll take 5 lemons and a liter of oil off your hands. pm sent.
01-05-2015 , 11:24 AM
Thats hard Udummy, are you getting close to the end ? Hoarders is my favorite/only show I watch on Fox over here and its always pretty much heart breaking.
