If you are going to cross into canada a bunch (or mexico, heh) by land, I think the card is definitely worth it. Or if your drivers license is from a ****ty state that isnt recognized as a valid form of government ID. It also can just come in handy as an extra form of picture ID on occasion. But really if you arent going to use it to get into canada and you dont need it as a DL cuz you are from AZ, then it probably doesnt offer the needed value.

I was so pleasantly surprised with my Hot Pockets experience a few weeks ago that I decided to try again for lunch today.

Unlike the prior experience, this was exactly the type of Hot Pocket I remember from many many years ago. Kind of tasty in a gross way, but left me feeling a bit of self-loathing and wondering how my life got to this point.

I just got my license renewed, and the DMV said they could issue me a regular license or I could get a federally recognized license. They needed birth certificate, SS card, and two proofs of address to get the fed one, which I didn't have, so I just got a regular license. I think some time after 2016 you're going to need a fed license if you want to take a domestic flight, which seems kinda overboard.

Wait, what?

If you have a Driver's license from say, New Mexico, and go to Arizona they have the ability to ask you for another form of ID since they don't recognize the NM driver's license as one. It has to do with NM and other states allowing undocumented immigrants to obtain a driver's license.

If you live in a state that issues DL to illegals, you cant use your DL as an ID to enter federal facilities or board airplanes (Which is dumb, cuz you dont actually even need an ID to board a plane). I think currently its still in grace period where if you try they are just supposed to tell you that in the future it wont be allowed, and its like 2015 sometime that the hard deadline is. Im not really sure, I stopped following it. But since my DL is from New Mexico, I just use my passport card to get on a plane so I dont have to worry about it.
