I like Nickelback and don't understand the hate they get. I don't buy their stuff though. lol buying stuff.

I don't trust anyone who doesn't at least find the chorus to "Pumped Up Kicks" catchy.

There is a theory that many of the people who still buy music today are severely out of the loop and have no idea what's going on in the modern world. That would explain why they purchase Nickelback albums.

I like a couple of their songs, yeah. Not a huge fan, don't think I've ever bought an album, but I've got a couple songs on my iPod.

A former boyfriend really liked them, had every album. So he actually bought their awful music.

Who cares? I literally don't understand why people get so worked up about people who like stuff that they personally believe is ****ty. That's way more unfathomable to me then someone liking a band or actor or movie I think is dumb.

Dude, enough...yeah we get it, you think they suck. I happen to think they suck too, I'm just not enough of a douche to make a thread to deride people who disagree and say retarded things like a band is 'objectively awful'. There are obviously lots of people out there who like them, it would probably behoove you to get on with your life.

I agree with Riverman this band is crap. And i have thought about who would listen to this music. The local radiio stations here play nickelback even the good ones WFNX WAAF along with bands like tool,NIN so someones listening to it. I quess the age group doing so to be under 18.

also, it's now hip to ironically enjoy Nickelback and Creed. trust me. if you have a band and bust out "photograph" or "higher" and sing it in an overly melodramatic way there will be many people who get a kick out of it. they're becoming like 80s hair metal in that way.

the era of radio as a mass medium is close to dead. these two bands caught the very end of it and built loyal followings. that's why they sell. when i was in high school there was about a 2 year period where Creed was the biggest rock band out there. just because you don't hang out with people who listen to them doesn't mean they aren't there. i know a LOT of people who like these bands unironically. personally i don't care for Nickelback. I do enjoy Creed though.

theres probably 20% i regularly dont like. sometimes theres good older songs that pop up plus elite stuff like call me maybe.

They are obviously horrendous but so is virtually all radio music. Nickelback somehow just makes a lot more money (I assume) than most others. That's what gets the haterz mad.

Their worst song and the epitome of the band had to be that "I wanna be a rock star" song. So ****ing awful.

I know a guy who likes them. My wife's cousin's husband. He also wears Ed Hardy shirts and wears earrings and those dog collar looking bracelets like he's all hard. He's like 40 years old and goes about 5'10" 150. I know he likes them because they played Thanksgiving or some football game a few years ago and he walked in and was like "Hey - these guys are good! I didn't know they were playing!" He's also a Cowboys fan so that basically says it all.
