I enjoyed the movie... majority of the makeup was fantastic but I found that some of the makeup didn't work out and took my captivation away, like the asian woman dressed as a ginger.

Neat grid of each actors role in the movie.

Saw this a few days ago right after reading the book. Both were very good borderline amazing. The movie hit me harder emotionally but that's probably just due to the medium and my simple brain. I look forward to further viewings/readings.

grunching some of this but I thought the movie was great. insanely slow developing though so it definitely isn't for everyone, but the last hour or hour/half was really awesome.

Read the book in October and then finally got around to seeing the movie. An incredible story. It just grows on you so much. This movie is one of the best I've ever seen honestly.

If people don't like it, it's cool. Not gonna stop me from enjoying it.

Cloud Atlas wasn't short listed for Best Makeup. Beyond technical awards it's a huge dog to get nominated for any significant awards. =(

it recently premiered down here last week, saw it yesterday, missed the 1st 10 mins and felt super lost throughout, felt really really dumb. Must watch it again

This movie was.. unique. A blend of genres, guided by theme, rather than plot. It pulls you along the movie without giving you a chance to stop and wonder, however, and expects you to figure **** out on the fly. About 20 mins in things started to make sense, but it wasn't until near the end where Sonmi's holovid recording plays that it the picture was clear and the common thread between the different characters in different times started to make sense. Also, Tom Hanks' nuclear physicist character started to spell it out a little earlier.

And it was right at the very end where you see how all of the characters are connected in the movie.

DVD comes out tomorrow 5/14. I cannot wait to buy this and experience this movie again. Love love this movie. Now that I really think about it, this is probably my favorite movie in the past year.

This movie is amazing. I implore everyone to go see it. The amount of detail in the movie is staggering, the music is excellent, the relationships are so compelling... it's a masterpiece.

After $27 million in US box office and zero oscar nominations, I think everyone kind of forgot about it. Just go see it. It's fantastic.
