Re: New fast food discussion/review thread

WRT Wendy's people who are big fans of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich should give the Spicy Chicken go Wrap a try. I am a big fan of that + spicy nuggets + fries.

WRT Arbys I just went to one a couple weeks ago and they had pumps of honey mustard and some spicy habanero sauce by the pumps of ketchup, horsey and Arbys sauce. I was very impressed but they've fallen into the trap of sending me good coupons and now I'll never go and pay full price.

I know LOL at me for using fast food coupons. It's not like I have a hrad time affording fancy restaurants even there's just some triumphant feeling I get ringing up 2 for 4$ Arby's chicken sandwiches or subs

Living around the country has taught me that the Dairy Queen menu varies quite widely across different regions. Like I knew they had an expanded 'Texas-only' menu but in CA, for example, they don't (that I've seen) even have burgers, just soft-serve and a deep fryer.

Dairy Queen's chili dogs are vastly superior to Sonic's imo. Real cheese, and lots more "meat" in the chili. Thicker dog. Sonic puts liquid cheese and thin greasy chili liquid on there.

I prefer Whataburger to Culver's because of the superior service and atmosphere. Culver places seem stuffy and uptight to me. But Culver's burgers are also great, no doubt. I need to try the cheese curds.

Truer words never spoken. I've always touted Taco Cabana in these fast food threads. Seems like they could take over the country if they tried, but they stay in Texas mostly.

For example, the Eggs Mexicana breakfast plate is a wonder to behold: 3 strips of bacon, thick queso over spicy eggs, refried beans, and 2 tortillas. Around $3.50 I think.

1 lb. fajita family dinners also tremendous and inexpensive. on and on.

Roberto's Tacos.. is that place still around? A friend of mine swears by it, but I never cared for their food. It was inexpensive and you got plenty for what you paid.

Re: New fast food discussion/review thread

Culver's Cheddar Butterburgers are phenomenal. The grease drips off them as you eat.

I agree with an earlier poster that Five Guy's burgers are great but the fries are meh.

At Chipotle I always get a burrito bowl with double meat and then have them give me some soft taco shells on the side (they will give them to you for free.)

Agreed that Hardee's is awesome, but alas they all went out of business in SE Minnesota.

Re: New fast food discussion/review thread

Had Arby's today for the first time in ages. Tried their new Angus Three Cheese and Bacon sandwich. It was good, I'd eat it again, but not something I'm wowwing about. I imagine the $5 pricetag will turn a lot of people off to it.

Re: New fast food discussion/review thread

The thick-cut applewood smoked bacon on the baconator (and the amount of it) still makes it the pinnacle of fast-food sandwiches. Triple please!

To the guy complaining it had no vegetables.. LOL
