Wow, Europe is so expensive. I haven't been to Friday's in awhile but you can get a 3 course meal there for 12.99 in the US.

The starter was £15 alone. Whilst it was delicious, it was tiny

6 (tiny) ribs, 2 jacket potatoes (small) covered in cheese, 8 mozzarella cheese dips, 3 dips. The bill did include like £16 worth of drink but still... we where gobsmacked when we saw it

Had the new BK fries without realizing it while at SF airport. Overall I'd consider it a moderate upgrade on taste. Like a few of the earlier posters, I definitely agree with one of the selling points they're touting in that the fries did stay hotter a lot longer. I walked around for what seemed like a good 5 minutes before sitting down and was pretty shocked to see that the fries were still piping hot despite having been in the holder at the bottom of the bag, which is usually a surefire recipe for sogginess.

It also happened to be the first time I had the new nuggets/tenders and I found them to be more like how Wendy's were, which is a win in my book as the batter for McNuggets never seemed to taste good to me unless I slathered sauce on them, which is not how I roll.

The nostalgia factor of a non "fast food" chain restaurant in Europe probably adds to the bill.

Judging by their advertising, that seems to be the demographic they covet.

when i go to burgerking i usually get a whopper with cheese, but sometimes if im in the mood for something different i like to get the chicken sandwich (the one on the long roll not the round roll), i also get a couple things of the buffalo sauce they have there and put it on the chicken sammich, its actually really good, like a ghetto buffalo chicken sandwich

Around my way (MA) all you see are the what I consider "the big three" Mcdonalds, BK and Wendys. All these other restaurants sound so foreign to me, never even seen a jack in the box or a sign for one. Some liberal bull**** if you ask me.

had a couple Ws from wendy's this week. decent burger, is it worth $2.99? hard to say. idk if im gonna get it again.

also had the grilled chicken sandwich (#10 no combo), the new monterrey chicken sando and a JBC which was very good.

Heres pics of my Ws. very generous w the lettuce today and i think the special sauce is just mac sauce (1000 island dressing).

Just found out the closest Chick Fila is on univ of pitt campus somewhere in a college building. the quest starts tmrw to find it.

we used to have jack in the box, way back. then there was this big e-coli scare or something, and it was sayonara jack!

used to have popeye's too, in fact there may still be one right outside of fenway on brookline ave. there's a raising cane's on comm. ave a couple places down from paradise. i remember an arby's out near worcester as recent as 5 years ago. fuddrucker's, five guys, come on man don't sell us short up here. we have some stuff.

W burger is super sweet... as in like the sauce is really sweet, not as in "that burger is wicked sweet dude".

not sayin it's bad. still, you're an idiot if you're ordering anything not on the dollar menu on a regular basis.

location issues: the 3 Five Guys in my city, fairly new, are way off in ritzy touristy shopping centers. And I don't live in the ghetto or anything. So **** their uppity hamburgers for now, not worth the drive.

For all you South Carolina guys, is Lizards Thicket still around?
On my first visit to Columbia, I was culture-shocked (from California), but enjoyed the black-eyed peas and had Okra for the first time.
(Also SC yellow/green barbecue sauce.)
