I just saw an ad for Long John Silvers and thought that I have never seen any posts about them in this thread (a search shows one mention). I ate at one in college and was so disgusted I never went back.

Does anyone ever eat there?

cant find them anywhere anymore . but i used to like LJS alot .

LUUUUURVE LJS. Like hoagie said, ask for extra crumbles. Love their breading, which they put on their fish, shrimp, and that of course is what the crumbles are made out of. The fish/shrimp inside said breading is solid too. Also love the similar chain from my native region, Arthur Treacher's. Anyone else been there?

Just don't get LJS's chicken planks or whatever they're called. Not that they're bad (I've never had them) but why are you going into a seafood place, even fast food, and getting chicken? Also their fries are fairly terrible.

I was going to LJS when I was cutting carbs - seems like they had some baked lemon fish that pretty good.

What about Captain D's? I went to one about a month ago and it was pretty bad - greasy fish, too much breading, horrible fries. Is that standard for them?

Had some grilled Salmon from the Whole Foods deli counter, pretty good but 23 bucks a pound is hard to look at on the tag even if the pieces are around a third of a pound.

Thanks for bringing up LJS. They suck (IMO lDO). Their quality is below any other (am i comparing apples and oranges?) type of FF: eg mcdonald's burgers aren't the best, but they will do; LJS fish - flush it down the toliet.

a fast serve fish and chips/fries/whatever that's good could print their own money.

even with fast food chicken, you get multiple options (KFC, Popeye's, Church's (depending on where you live)).

LJS- die in a fire.

The fried fish at LJS is HORRIBLE. Their grilled tilapia isn't too bad.

The only thing to get at Captain D's is their catfish.

Got a taco bell cantina bowl today bc i beat my friends brother out of video games $ and he offered and i said whatever. was a big pile of sh*t. i figured that it'd have a bunch of meat and be a hearty bowl of sh*t but in reality it was soggy vegetables, soggy rice, bland sauce and guac, and about 5 tiny strips of chicken.

Has anyone been to an Elevation Burger before? I just heard of them and there is a location about 30 minutes away. Should i give them a shot next time im in the area?

Also, long john silvers is absolutely terrible. I cannot believe people are saying it is edible.

Haha we were probably watching the same show iirc it was called fast food mania or something. Id never heard of it but it looked damn good but its tv so who knows. I will check it out and report back. Has anyone been?

Elevation burger is very good. Not as good as 5 guys, but still good enough that I would nom with glee. Haven't been in a while but I believe their burgers are cheaper but smaller than 5 guys, so pretty comparably priced all things considered. Fries not as good but that's not saying much since 5guys fries are goat.
