If you haven't done it you only think you do. The reason ex-cons get those jobs is because they are not public facing, take real skill and most can't take the grind. I couldn't. Especially breakfast. If you're willing to work that hard, non-felons can get better money, easier.

Regrettably, scrambled soft is one variant that WHs really suck at. There is not one in ten WH cooks ime that can do scrambled soft well. Or at all.
I've heard that during the application process to become a Waffle House cook, you are asked to cook a dozen eggs. Each one differently. Like, right there on the spot. I can't even name 12 types of eggs, nevertheless cook them.
