New fast food discussion/review thread

my roommate brought home some longjohn silvers yesterday. what a great friend. the nearest LJS from here is 10miles-ish away so neither one of us has had it in over 5yrs.

it was a delicious pile of fried greasy ****. the chicken, fish plank, and esp the hushpuppies were so awesome. just how i remembered it but the meal put me in a pretty harsh foodcoma. i was ruined gastronomically the entire day although im sure the twenty Miller Lites featuring the Vortex Bottle™ didnt help.

forgot to take a pic like a FF r/d thread noob but it was exactly this. the planks were one chicken, two fish iirc. didnt touch the fries like a pro tho.

I'm sorry, but their food is remarkably bad. I think I feel safe in saying I'd choose pretty much any FF alternative over it. Funny thing is my wife used to drive 20 minutes to get this stuff all the time while she was pregnant, but hadn't been back in ages. So we're driving by a few months ago and she has me stop for old times sake. She eats in the car and a few minutes later tells me to pull over. I'm jokingly like "do you need to throw away the trash or puke up what you just ate" to which she basically responded "not sure, maybe both; I'll let you know."

Popeyes is going to roll out the coca cola freestyle machines at select locations. I have nearly kicked my soda habit, but this might put me in a relapse.

oh i know LJS is absolutely awful but its so bad, its good. i needed something greasy (was going to wendys) to treat a hangover and it was perfect. im pretty happy its on the other side of town imo.

Had Fatburger yesterday. Maybe its just a Canada thing, but the onion rings were terrible. Good burger though.

LJS definitely fills some sort of requisite niche market. Pure, unadulterated, deep-fried mess of something you can loosely label food, which you dip into mayonnaise mixed with relish. I'd be lying if I said I don't find that **** totally satisfying every once in a while, but it really doesn't get any more awful, both in terms of value and nutrition. IIRC they're open surprisingly late, at least at the one nearby when I was in Dallas.

popped my Jimmy John's cherry in seattle over the weekend, there were 4 locations within a 5 block radius of my hotel and none of them were open passed 9pm.

I had the italian night club, no hot peppers and it was quite tasty.

There was very little in the way of late night eats around where I stayed actually. I always came back from the bar hungry as hell at 230am. grrrr

That is seriously awesome. Loved it.

When she was taking a long time, and he asked if she was ready for the next part, I started wondering if she either couldn't talk and was busting up laughing, or if she was getting some of her co-workers to listen. Also thought he was going to ask her out at the end.

either that or just accept (like i do) that ff places hire 16 year old retards who dont give a flying **** about you or your order and therefore will constantly mess it up.

4) You are 12 and want to do weird things with your soda like mix pepsi/dr pepper.

definitely not a good enough reason to get out of the car.
