with tip it'll generally come out to be more than 9.21, more like $11 but the food is also better.

The time factor is not a big deal to me as I already stated that if I was in a rush, I would opt for fast food over bar food.

my default go to place here in town is this place

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4UL35Q07TY

but there are many others that are just as good.

Which is what I was getting at. For you there doesn't seem to be an in between, where you're willing to wait 1/2 hour to get a slightly better burger for a slightly higher price or buy a much inferior product for 1/2 the price if you want it instantly. 5 Guys fills the gap for the rest of us that have a desire for something in between.

I think the sentence "unless if I'm in a rush, I don't stop by five guys or any fast food place that charges more than $6.50 for a burger and fries" makes it pretty clear that I do frequent these places occasionally.

I definitely agree with an earlier post that if 5 guys offered a smaller sized fries and charged a bit less, I would probably go more often.

$1 for one stacker with one slice of cheese + 2 pieces of bacon.
$2 for two patties and one slice of cheese + 2 pieces of bacon.
$3 for three patties and two slices of cheese + 2 pieces of bacon.

The PRO move is to just get 3 single stackers vs. getting a triple stacker. This way you get 4 extra pieces of bacon and an extra slice of cheese.

That being said, they're decently tasty but I prefer the double-stack from Wendy's.

Wendy's burger is at least a little better and it's a double-stack plus there's no veggies on the BK Stacker while Wendy's has fairly fresh lettuce and tomato.

Wendy's new fries with sea salt is better than BK's fries as well. BK's Onion rings are pretty good though.

I'm obviously a level one fast fooder. I wouldn't have thought of getting 3 single stackers instead of just the triple.

WP sir

I'm going to expand my range a little and open up my fast food game from now on, thanks to you.

Also, has A&W been utterly ignored in this entire thread?
I just posted my first A&W TR a few pages ago. I wasn't blown away, but thought the cheese curds were quite good.

I went to 5 guys for the first time 2 weeks ago. Man, their cajun fries are gross. They're way too salty. The burgers were great, though. I don't think I've ever seen tomato and lettuce that looked so fresh in ANY restaurant.

yeah i don't get how people say 5 guys has the best fries. they're edible obviously, but i'd honestly rather just not order them. i mean they're just a vehicle for ketchup. good fries can stand alone.

The angus three-cheese and bacon at Arby's is pretty damn good. Not sure how new it is but I haven't seen it before.

It was 5 days ago, not 2 weeks. As long as you don't work for Popeye's or something, I guess it's not creepy.

Maybe it's creepy that I remembered it.

Im trying to cut out fast food. Even subway can be bad for you if you order the wrong thing....

It's $9+ for 5 Guys regular (double) cheeseburger and fries. This is a ton of food. If you get the single, it's cheaper obviously, and still filling. That said, it's gonna be more than you're going to spend vs BK, and worth it.

I agree, fries are no big deal. Pretty middle of the pack. I like that you get a lot though. Also, free peanuts to snack on while waiting.

I've never really understood the appeal. I mean I like peanuts and if I'm sitting at a bar drinking watery beer they're great, but I don't think of them as an appetizer before eating a burger (or a steak if you're at Logan's Roadhouse)

I don't think anyone goes there just because of peanuts. It's just nice to do something while waiting (sometimes a while).
