I ate my original skimpy order, and split two more skimpy orders. All told I ate a normal restaurant serving of fries. And only managed 2 freckled lemonades. Slow service!

Popeye's Honey Hot Crunch tenders aren't changing the game but they had a solid crunch to them. I got 5 tenders, a side and a biscuit for like $7. The drizzle sauce is more tangy than hot and personally I'd prefer much more of a kick. The girl at the counter said they were hot butnah. They could easily give you tenders and sauce packets to use but I like how they drizzle it on then give you extra sauce packets to have your way with.

I dunno if slow service is a staple at RR, but I refuse to go anymore. I got a whole meal comped on a night where we missed a movie because of a nearly 2 hour service. We were sat for nearly 25 minutes before being greeted. In two subsequent trips, initial service took greater than 5 minutes. So **** it.

I had the worst food poisoning of my life the past two days. I went to the mall first thing in the morning on Thursday to return something and on my way past the food court I saw Taco Bell was open. It was 10:15 and I was hoping to score some breakfast items, but they only had the regular menu sans breakfast. I ordered two beefy Potatoritos and they were both a 0/10. The viscosity of the filling was like soup. I took two bites from each one in different spots just to make sure that the bulk of the meat/potatoes wasn't at the bottom, no such luck. About 2 hours later came the first upchuck and it was about 30 continuous hours of suffrage.

Never again Taco Bell.

I guess it could have been the taco bell, but most foodborne illness takes wayyyyy longer than an hour or 2 to show symptoms.

Qdoba is rocking a 2 meals for $22 deal.

Includes 2 main courses, chips and Queso and 2 fountain drinks.

About a $4 savings.

I haven't gone to qdoba as often before their rewards change, but I've scanned my card the last few times . Anyone know is there's anything particularly good to use rewards on?

I might've missed something but is this referring to the now mostly-defunct East Coast roast beef chain? Probably best remembered for its Fixins' Bar complete with sneeze guard.

I had a TB experience like this and I did not eat TB for at least a year, probably for my greater benefit. Eventually it began to sound good again and I do go through for a CGC or bean burrito from time to time. Still prefer deltaco

Haven't had KFC in probably 5 years, but had heard good things both about the Zinger sandwich and the Nashville Hot Chicken. Scoped the online menu yesterday and went for a $5 Zinger Fill-Up Box and a 3 piece tender of the Nashville Hot.

Sandwich was very bad, imo. Well below the McDonalds buttermilk and obviously not coming near the GOAT of Wendy's spicy chicken. Wilty pre-shredded iceberg that falls over the place should not be on a sandwich. Wedges are poor fry equivalents, cookie was alright. The Nashville Hot tenders weren't spicy, not that I expected much. But, they were overall acceptable.

Meal came to $15+ (lol Seattle, the $5 Fill Up was ~$8) and I think I am good with at least another half decade before I return to KFC.

Nope.

Food poisoning basically comes in two flavors, if you ignore the possibility of some sort of chemical contamination (say bleach or cleaning material) which would really be more of a toxic exposure sort of thing.

If you eat food harboring a bug that's going to colonize you and make you sick, that's gonna be a days-week or two thing, in rare cases longer - it's a new neighborhood moving in, and it takes a while to unpack and set up housekeeping.

OTOH, if you're dealing with a toxin excreting bug, onset is a lot shorter. The bug has already produced and excreted the stuff, and it's ready to rumble. Toxin secreting staph can give symptoms within an hour or so, and scromboid can hit within minutes.

I'm gonna stand up for the potatorito. it's only $1, and its about the most stereotypical taco bell flavor combination in existence. ground beef + nacho cheese. then add in a little shredded cheese and non-fried hash browns which don't really do much, but yea sure whatever. Wouldn't go out of my way for it at all, but if I'm there for a crunchwrap supreme and want something else to go with it, this is a perfectly fine substitute for a loaded griller if you want to try something different.

the combo though is pretty awful.

taco bells $5 boxes have recently generally been pretty good deals because they center around a $3+ item and throw in a couple other cheap things and a drink so you get $7-$8 total menu price items for $5.

but since the potatorito is only $1, you get around $5 worth of menu price items for $5. Better off just making your own box and ordering what you want a la carte.

IMO Nashville Hot is best when on the bone in chicken as opposed to tenders. I like that Nashville hot...and I know of a combo KFC/LJS.

I hope she makes up for it in other ways. I don't want to be, but I feel like I would be such a butthole to that idea, and maybe to her if she was super strong about pushing it and wouldn't accept other alternatives.

Yes, definitely have to go bone in when you're feeling Nashville.
