Last night I picked up the 2 any toppings medium pizzas for ~$14 from Pizza Hut. I don't think I've gone there in at least 7 or 8 years. It seems like an OK deal, but the one strange thing that really threw me off with the pizzas is how damn SWEET they tasted. One was pepperoni, sausage, olives and mushrooms and the other was pepperoni with basically all the vegetable (sp?) toppings. I couldn't tell if it was mostly the sauce or combination of everything, but "sugary" is not something I find pleasant in a taste for pizza. I'm going to have to go to Apizza Scholls now this weekend to renew my faith in the stuff, maybe get some anchovies on there.

Carl's spicy chickens are close to $2 now, and I like them (when fresh) as a great cheaper spicy chicken item. Not as good as Wendy's or CFA, but better than the hot and spicy mcchicken or Checkers' spicy chicken. Usually they are completely slathered in Mayo too, so watch that.

Also, the Baby Back Rib thickburger combo was/is ridiculously expensive.

Why would you get 3 whoppers? Why not at least one of them being a double whopper or triple whopper? Did these whoppers have cheese? Why not a bacon king or a steakhouse king?

Post leaves too many questions...that's why there's no love.

That reminds me, when I was a kid I remember loving "Sicilian" style from Noble Romans. Does that place even still exist?

wondering if any of you 'eat two baby back rib thickburgerers' considered making one double rib sandwich and one double thickburger?

on a completely unrelated topic, i seem to remember the majority response from FF gourmands in this thread to the BK mac n cheetos being a resounding 'Meh'. apparently they will be re-released in a week or so.

spouse loves her kraft mac-n-cheese and also loves her cheetos (and pretty much any other processed cheese food products). she saw a commercial and i told her i would poll the thread for advice.

Wienerschnitzel is currently offering three different Chicken Schnitzel sandwiches that fall into the above category. I haven't tried them but they look good in the commercials.

The amount of rib meat is nowhere near what is on a McRib. You would need 5-6 BBRB's to equal a McRib.

Haven't eaten at BK in years and frankly find it to be pretty bad in general (was my FF of choice as a kid though), but saw a commercial for some new chicken sandwich and it looked absolutely delicious.

If I use another of those coupons for this thing again, maybe I do that. I'm not sure that will happen though...I'm just not a big Carl's Jr. fan. Sorry BigHurt.

TB with bigggggg changes

OUT:
- Triple Double Crunchwrap
- Taco Burrito
- Sangrita Blast (my fav, always a nice lunchtime wake-up jolt)

IN:
- Chicken Chips 6 for $1.99
- Chickzilla $2.99 - Basically a crunchwrap w/chicken chips instead of tostada
- Chicken Chips Big Box - 6 chips, crunchy taco, burrito supreme, med drink for $5.99. kinda crap value imo
- Snacker Box $5.99
- Lemonade Mountain Dew. Dum product idea, it tastes like Mtn Dew. why they got rid of Sangrita Blast for this stuff is beyond me. fire someone.

trip report: had the Chickzilla, it was maybe the worst TB product I've ever had. wouldn't eat again even if for free. and this is coming from someone who will eat just about anything from TB.

Most cheap pizza places use overcooked and sugar added sauce. Cooking further concentrates this sweetness.

The best NYC style pizza places basically blend uncooked whole tomatoes with spices for the sauce. This totally changes the taste of a pizza.

I just tried the rib burger. It was pretty good. I wasn't impressed or disappointed. It tasted exactly like you would expect.

I haven't been to an A&W in at least 20 years, maybe longer. Currently having a random A&W craving.

Dang that sounded pretty tasty too.

A&W and Stewart's are by far the best root beers imo. A&W probably gets the nod as it's a bit creamier where Stewart's is more...natural tasting? Not sure how to describe it since it's soda and there's nothing natural about it, it might be closer to sarsaparilla in my head.

I found an alcoholic Hires root beer at the liquor store the other day. Haven't drank it yet but used to love Hires.

Chicken chips were not awful. Came with nacho cheese sauce which was decent. It was all very okay. Nothing special.

Love when you get a crunchwrap with a good amount of nacho cheese. Really takes it to the next level.
