Tried Habit Burger for the first time this weekend. Tried the Santa Barbara style (double patty, avocado, cheese, on grilled sourdough) and the bbq bacon cheeseburger, + fries and tempura green beans.

All the food was OK: C+, maybe B- on a good day. The burgers were fairly tasty and the value wasn't bad, but the quality of the patty seemed pretty low. I don't know exactly how to describe it, the patty had almost a slightly mealy texture. It was a touch too soft. It was most noticeable when I at the last bite of my kid's kids burger (just burger patty and ketchup). On the burgers with toppings the melding of flavors/textures made it better.

The fries were completely forgettable, standard frozen fare. Nothing wrong with them. The tempura green beans were decent, but they don't come with any dipping sauce and I felt it needed them. Ketchup of course didn't work. They serve the onion rings with ranch, I would ask for some of that next time.

Best part were the shakes, particularly from a value perspective: $3.60 for a big (16oz? 20?) thick shake made with real ice cream. Only issue was the flavors, which may have been an employee **** up - I ordered a chocolate malt, and the wife a coffee malt. Mine had no malt flavor, but was a good standard chocolate shake. My wife's had just a tiny, tiny hint of coffee flavor, and again no malt. It tasted like a good vanilla shake w/ a hint of coffee.

I'd be game for eating again if I was with someone who wanted to go, but doubt I'd seek it out. Particularly in my location, which is right next to costco's delicious+cheap lunches. There's also an Arby's across the street, and I'd take an Arby's trip over Habit as well. The chicken sandwich picture did look good though, so possible I'll take one more swing.

Birthday ruined, those things are horrible gave them 2 chances and both times they were basically all shell no filling. Really hoping they come out with a new box deal asap.

I'm considering telling them it is my birthday and I rarely eat FF, so make it worth it please.

I'm not a proud man.

You should demand that they sing "Happy Birthday".

Depends on your state, but same thing goes for places like Sam's Club. Apparently isn't the law in most states.

I approve the new low of tugging on the FF workers' heart strings to get a slightly improved meal. Someone tweet to Wendy's that their dog died and see if you get anything.

I impulse-bought a chicken soft taco at Green Burrito yesterday. I'm not sure if I've ever eaten there, it's that weird Mexican place that is for some reason stuck onto/part of some Carls Jrs. It was quite good, probably 8/10. For some reason the tortilla was excellent, also very fresh toppings, good amount of real cheese, pretty big and $2.49. I wasn't even hungry and went there because I had about 15 minutes waiting for someone. That is another great sign: cruising through for a FF snack because you have free time and are bored.

Agree, the regular burger is best of the burgers there. Santa Barbara style sounds like it should be better, but the regular Double Char w cheese beats it.

However, the albacore tuna sandwich and teriyaki tri tip sandwich are surprisingly good.

And sweet potato fries and onion rings beat regular fries and tempura green beans there.

Triple Double was decent, but not really my thing. I saw some above-average sized tacos on the line when I went to order, so just ordered and hoped for best.

T/D seems like a lot of empty cals with tortilla and two tostadas. I like my Taco Bell cals to be more from the liquid meat personally.

I don't think you have to be a member to eat at the costco food court.

Yeah. If their food court is inside just tell them you're just going to the food court. They'll let you in member or not

costco food court is great, the hot dogs are a good deal and the pizza is the best cheap pizza around

costco pizza is better than dominos and wrecks little caesars

the habit is the **** although maybe it varies by location and yours is just bad

double char is the way to go

I think Costco Pizza wrecks all of the national pizza chains.

Protip for those that don't know, Costco has additional toppings in the back and you can put whatever you want on for the same 9.99 price. You don't have to stick to the cheese/pepperoni/combo options

Yeah, but all the veggies come in a pre mixed bag so the only really variant you can order is all veggie pep and sausage or just sausage. I've always been told all or none with the veggies. Would love to be able to order pep sausage mushroom. Never can.

Yeah, the taste isn't anything mind blowing but it's more than serviceable and when you factor in size and value it blows away anything from the big 3 chains.

Tried triple double crunch wrap box. Lot of food but the featured item is meh as most ppl stated

Went to fuddruckers the other day. Got a kobe half pound burger and it was probably one of the worst burgers I've has in the last 2 years. Might blame myself though ppl shouldn't be left with a condiment bar to dress their own burgers. Gf got a regular burger and said it wasn't good either. Sad because eureka is right next door and their burgers are great. I guess neither establishment fits the fast food category but yeah... tell me if I ordered wrong at Fudd lol

Fudd is fast food or at least close enough for the purposes of this thread. I never go there. I think I've been once as an adult and I'm almost 40 and have lived in a market where they have had them the whole time. With in-n-out and fatburger when it was going strong so readily available, no need.

I've actually never had Costco pizza. But their hot dogs, I always get polish, is the goat plain hot dog. I put ketchup brown mustard and onions on, but I really enjoy it without condiments because the dog is so ****ing juicy that it moistens the bun just right. Gottdammmmm
