No, he said they're using the same buns and just making thicker patties, which would be a marked improvement, as the worst thing about a Big Mac is the beef to not-beef ratio.

The promotional materials state, as I had observed and he disagreed with, that they're just making the same crappy burger in a larger diameter, which changes nothing.

Readings is harder than fractions apparently.

I had the Rubios grilled mahi-mahi tacos for the first time yesterday. Damn those things were amazing. I could have probably eaten 10 (Yo Big...) if pushed. The downside is that they're fairly small and are $4 a pop.

What the ****? Mustard, mayo, and oil and vinegar? That's a recipe for nerve gas or something not a real application of condiments right?

I just tried to get McDonald's to make me a McDouble with bacon, a breakfast egg, and hash brown added into it. They were willing to add the bacon and egg into the McDouble, but wouldn't add the hash brown and I had to add it in later myself. I think the cashiers are trained to just take orders of items as listed on the menu and prefer not to slow down the assembly line for custom orders. The cashier had to ask the manager if they even sold breakfast eggs a la carte without a sandwich.

The sandwich was 10/10 in taste though, 6/10 in value, I think it came out to $5 or $6. One of the tastiest things I have ever eaten at McDonald's.

Edit: While I was ordering, the guy behind me in line cursed at me and said something about "Come on, ****, I gotta get to work" and almost started a fight with me over it, but after I glared at him and he repeated what he said, I just finished ordering. I did order a Sausage Egg McMuffin, side salad, and asked for a breakfast platter with rice (I live in Hawaii; apparently they don't have rice anymore) along with my Breakfast McDouble because I hadn't eaten all day and it was 6 pm, so it was a longer order than usual. I did ask the cashier to read my entire order back to me after I ordered though, just to get the last word in.

you are exaggerating his level of aggression and your level of toughness, and underselling the degree to which you were just being a dick.

This reminds me. A few years ago when I lived in Vegas I was over at a friend's house. He was a live pro and I know he had at least 50k cash at his house, don't know what all else. Anyways one night I was over there and we decided to go to Farmer Boys. Probably 10 minute drive each way, we pick it up and take it back to his house. He got a small chili and it was watery **** so he decided to drive us back there and get his $3 back. Now that's a gear I just don't have.

In Oz, McDonalds for the last year or so have had the "Create your own" range where you can customise a burger/wrap out of any ingredients on their menu. I haven't been in a while but is this not offered there yet?
Also, do people really go to Subway and order a Steak n Cheese with no extras? I can seriously understand the hate for the joint if this is the case and I agree a similar result can be achieved at home. But the value is in the extras they offer I think. My usual order is a footlong with chicken breast on wholemeal with the works, comes out to about $12 (not bad at all here, you'd pay same/more for this on regular square sandwich bread at deli) and is a thoroughly filling and enjoyable meal and a much better pick that a lot of the other FF options available

Mickeys did that for awhile, but now that you mentioned it I don't remember seeing it lately. Maybe it flopped and they dropped it.

Ah ok. Yea tbh I don't know how popular it is here either. They've really been pushing their healthier options such as salads n stuff lately n I think it's meant to be an extension of that. I imagine to all manner of scallywags it's just seen as an invitation to be as big as a pain in the butt to the cooks tho or simply an exercise in seeing how many meat patties n cheese can be contained by a single bun

My Nashville Chicken just tasted like the regular tenders with Tabasco brand Chipotle hot sauce. I love that stuff so this is still a strong 4/5.

Are the rolitos (rolled taquitos) cheaper if you buy 2x2 instead of the four? Might have seen the price wrong.

In Alaska, the Grand Mac was called the McKinley Mac based on some advertisements I've seen.

As far as the Create Your Taste goes, slowly being rolled out. Mixed results from what I've heard. In Australia it's done well.

And for special orders, they'll do what you want, up to store (you're probably at a franchise). But they will do whatever you want usually, it'll just take some time.

We have the Create Your Own McDonalds all over the Tampa Bay area. Employees are really discouraging you from dealing with an actual cashier and pressure you to use the self serve kiosks.
