Their Fries are weak, but Cane's chicken, sauce, Texas toast, and lemonade are all pretty great

Agreed. It doesn't really matter, though. Could easily replace Cane's fries with frozen fries, vegetables, or even cardboard; drench every bite with Cane's sauce and it's still delicious.

Had an interesting experience at BK tonight:

Perfect storm leads me to BK with GCDS. I want to try the hot dog!

Order a chicken sandwich and cashier tells me I can get 2 for $5. Thank you, one is $4.79.
3 cheeseburgers @ $1, a JBC for 2.29 and a hot dog for 79 cent.

Total: $15.48?

Tried to GET ME on the JBC MEAL, not happening son. $11 something for 2 long-ass chicken sandwiches, 3 cheeseburgers, a JBC and a hot dog.

Hot dog was solid. 8.5/10

Mustard and relish obv.

How is mcdonalds still basically the only FF chain with an app and deal, etc. I mean to me it's a complete no brainer to throw a few deals out daily and get more people in the door. I have ended up at McDonalds much more since I found the app.

The only JBC I know is from Wendy's, what's this BK imposter you speak of?

Literally taught GCDS about up-charging mofos and not giving in to THE MAN.

It was a junior bacon cheeseburger on the value meal, but 2.29. Name probably wrong.

Wow, you got a nice load of onions. Love onions.

Liberal onions, yes. Unfortunately I started on the left side and spooged the right side on my pants. Onions were calling me though.

It's a value double bacon cheeseburger.

He knew what he was doing.

I roll into BK, about 45 minutes from closing. Lobby is closed, parking lot is a ghost town, nobody else in drive thru. I get 3 grilled dogs, and they have me pull around to the front. I don't understand.

The drive-thru has a gizmo that times how long each car sits there. If a car sits there too long, it narcs to some central system that their drive-thru service sucks. It's kind of stupid because it makes them pull you out of the drive-thru even though you're sitting there for a legit reason.

Burger King is the only place that I encounter that.

I've had that happen at McD's and KFC before. KFC was a ghost town and it still took 10 minutes of me sitting in my car to get my food. I eventually parked and walked inside to grab it.

Burger King also has an app and offers deals with it.

Wendy's app does not offer deals, which I find a bit surprising. I agree that it seems like a complete no brainer to get more traffic and thus more overall profit.

Just checked BK's app again. They offer various deals and they get refreshed after 2 weeks (or less) if you use them.

Right now my offers are good until 7/30/17 and then they would re-appear on 7/31.

Had some CFA. Ordered it on the app. It was so upsetting just because I hadn't been in a while and I don't know how or why I end up going anywhere else. Everything was insanely fresh and delicious and quick and easy.

I feel like people ordering loss leaders on an app isn't exactly the future of fast food success.

This is strictly gut here, but I imagine a huge percent of people who order deals on the app aren't bringing along 10 friends who don't care about ff value.

There's a place called the gold-and-silver on 4th street that serves good old fashioned greasy hash browns/bacon/eggs/hash if you're looking for a nostalgic 1950's sort of experience - it's in a ****ty part of town, so if you're in there late st night you might get to see a couple of meth heads wrangling over the last biscuit, if that sort of thing is entertaining to you.

Hash house in Harrahs downtown I would assume is good. The one in Vegas is, but we never go downtown if we can help it.

If you're up for a breakfast buffet the Grand Sierra is pretty good. I tend to pig out and then want to sleep all day, so I don't go very often.

This makes me realize there aren't a lot of great options....sadly.

How does Peg's not make your list? World class breakfast imo.

Let me know - it's popular, but the one time I went I wasn't that impressed - my wife at the time swore it was usually MUCH better, so I may have caught them on the odd off day.
