Frozen was decent. If the concept appeals to you (three people stuck on a ski lift overnight), it's probably worth checking out. It's like Open Water. This kind of movie gets to me more than regular horror movies do.

fwiw i thought Frozen was laughably bad. it didn't take long before i was fast-forwarding through the dialogue and then wtf wolves. i didn't like Open Water either.

unrelatedly, i do really like Searching For Bobby Fischer, which just showed up on instant!

just watched insomnia - pretty good imo

searching for bobby fischer was a really really good movie when i was growing up, havent seen it in ages though

There is a decent webpage (instant watcher)

I really hate the rating on netflixs..... almost everything seems like 4 stars or better, should be like rotten tomatoes and % so you can be a little bit more precise.

If I'm including fictional settings, I can think of one.

All excellent, especially the scene where he kills the twins with Mystikal blaring in the background.

Yeah, I really like them, but I usually tone my ratings down slightly so I don't overdue it for some of the nittier movie guys

Also if you haven't been watching Arrested Development it's ample time to start now. It's leaving (I think) April 1st. It's only 3 season, but it's so hilarious.

They also added a National Lampoon movie called "Lost Reality". It's basically a varying degree of reality shows that basically would never make it anywhere. One is "Take that drug" where they sort of raise and re-raise what drugs they'll do and show them all F'ed up after. "The Whore" is a blind type show where they pay a hooker to bang these three different dudes and then the host tells them she's a hooker as they're banging her. There's some pretty messed up stuff but it's def funny if you enjoy jackass type stuff.

My 5 year old found it while looking for more Spongebob. She has now seen most of the first season, and my youngest now wants a High Fashion Log for Girls.

Sigh.

Watched 'Exit through the Gift Shop' because of the rave reviews in this thread. Apparently I'm the only person who thought it was trash. I could explain why, but then I would just be playing into the whole level that "documentary" was from beginning to end. That is not to say I don't appreciate the scam Banksy pulled on the entire Western world.

I remember religiously watching 'Ren and Stimpy' when it first came out. That was some funny **** for a drunk 20 year old. Actually, I think the show cost me a hot ass girlfriend because of the incident where I was paying more attention to the show than to her.

Easily watchable, just nothing novel or groundbreaking.
I absolutely hated the first 3 - was BARELY watchable. And then it became pretty damn good.

Archer is back from being taken off. I've only seen a couple episodes but it's pretty funny. They have Chris Parnell and the guy who does Yoda on the Family Guy Star Wars.

I thought fathead and gift shop (level or not) were great. If you don't like something why post about it on 2+2 if your not even going to substantiate yourself?

spartacus is a style of show all to it's own. the closest thing i could compare it to is the movie 300. there are a lot of brutal and sexual scenes and a lot of vulgar language so it can be offputting to some but the story and acting and production quality are great.

Since there are a lot of documentary watchers here, anyone watch the Up Series films by any chance (documentary series that follows 14 kids from Britain and releases a new doc every seven years http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Up_Series)?

I just noticed that 49 and 42 Up were available on instant and I was wondering if its worth committing myself to the series?

Watched "Monsters" last night. Was pretty terrible, the idea was fun enough. We find alien life-forms, send a probe to collect some, it crashes over Mexico, things start mutating. People live life in fear of these infected things.

However the movie literally turns into a chick-flick like love story that just happened to have genetically mutated aliens in Mexico in it. Nothing is ever explained about the aliens, and
Spoiler:
the ending is ruined by the beginning of the movie, their is never a suspension of doubt what is going to happen.
The acting from the two main characters isn't good, but it isn't terrible. Just don't watch unless you like seeing big ass monsters walking around like elephants, doing pretty much nothing.
