Tried to binge both seasons of Last Chance U, but had to stop around ep. 3 of season 2. Doesn't seem as good as ac mentioned and just too much of the same thing ep after ep. Will come back and finish it up in a couple weeks. Looking forward to season 3 if it is a new location.

Oh lawd, decided to power through a couple more eps and ran into the religion episode. That had to be some kind of deal with the school in order for them to keep agreeing to shoot, right? Otherwise, can't believe they wasted time with that crap.

Yea, that was awful. I'm guessing it's Southern culture, but doesn't seem right to force it on everyone at a what I assume is a public institution.

Like someone else said, really liked the episode with Co-hama or whatever school. Probably the best one of the entire series; sad it's surrounded by a bunch of mediocre ones. As even the people on the show said, it doesn't feel the same after they filmed season 1. Looking forward to seeing a new school.

Netflix Renews 'Ozark'

The new Jason Bateman drama will return for Season 2.

Netflix has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 2 of Ozark, which will likely return in 2018.

I rolled my eyes at a lot of the religion stuff, but I thought was worthwhile to get a sense of what these guys are like and how they live their lives. I don't think you can document the lives of people in the rural South without taking a look at how their religious practices. It's a deep part of Southern culture.

Been awhile since I watched it, but I can see it being a polarizing choice. I really loved Cloud Atlas and it felt similar to Interstellar to me, a movie I also loved, so take that fwiw.

The Avengers started today. Watched 3/4 of first episode and easily was able to turn it off. I'm in it just for Jessica Jones.

It's called the Defenders. lol

I watched all 3 of there shows only about half a season each before I was bored. This will probably be the same.

Ive watched every episode of each Marvel show on Netflix. They all fit together in a Marvel Universe fashion. These shows alone are worth a sub to Netflix.
But then again I had the comics as a kid. The shows are done so that the story is classic Marvel.

Yeah, it was amazing, and how they cheated was nuts. The director had a winning lottery ticket on this one. I thought it was crazy the director was doping for his cycling race and then it just escalated quickly.

One of the best docs i can remember.

god, I'm such a dumb ass. I looked up the name of the show before I posted, and still screwed it up.

I watched a few episodes last night. They were good. Sigourney Weaver really nailed her part. I love when she plays a bad ass.

I wasn't a fan of the first 2 episodes, but the rest ranged from good to great. But the finale..... Amazing!!! Worth the crap in the beginning and then some!!

I'm as surprised at the situation as I was how lucky the dude was to get to do this at all.

Much respect for Cloud Atlas, not well received by the people( Box office) but I really believe it will turn into a cult classic. I was completely gripped to the screen for the entire run time, the transitions between stories/scenes were great. I watched the first time in a near empty theater with 6 other people, all had tears in their eyes when it was over. I stood up and said "I dont know what I just watched but I will never forget it."

Icarus rates on the top rung of documentaries I have ever seen.

Icarus was A+. I don't think I have seen anyone make a negative post about it.

I thought Ozarks was very average. I hated a few of the characters and it seemed every episode contained at least one eye roll moment.

Ozarks was pretty solid. It basically felt like about 4 Breaking Bad seasons crammed into one. Definitely would have liked it more if they spread out the plot lines more rather than have 7 different people try to kill Jason Batemen in one episode. I can suspend my disbelief on pretty much every plot line, except for the FBI. I don't know all the legalities that have to be followed anymore, but you can't get some sort of probably cause/search warrant for a guy that flees town with $8M in cash, has a partner who disappeared/was murdered and is spotted in the same town with known Cartel members. Come on....

It will be interesting to see how many seasons they choose to run with this.
