Saw where Netflix recently added "Finest Hours" and "London has Fallen". Watched both yesterday and thought they were really good. It seems both movies had just came out on DVD not too long ago. Hope this trend continues.

Watched the David cross special. It was fantastic albeit very left leaning

Wow, pretty quick turnaround, and a really fun movie.

Most TV show ratings are inflated , a 8/10 tv show is a 6/10 movie, quality wise.
If jessica jones is 8.3/10, the wire would be 12/10

anyway i really enjoyed the first 4 or 5 episodes, then it start dropping , with some horrible fillers épisodes before the end. They had really strong materials from the comics but decided to do stuff on their own and i thought they failed miserably

Really enjoyed Sphere years ago. Not sure how it holds up but I'm not generally into scary movies and still liked it.

Just rewatched the original BBC version of House of Cards. That's a must-see.

If you're into the superhero-dark-genre then yeah, it's worth watching. I don't look at ratings for much though.

I thought the same thing, watched it again recently...it does not hold up. It's fun/dumb, but it's not what I remember as a kid

Yeah, I was a fan of the book back then, and the movie was a bitter disappointment. If you haven't seen Event Horizon, that might be a better option.

(Saw it a few weeks back and it held up fairly well.)

Event Horizon is really iffy for me. I would claim my taste has improved a lot over the years and watching a recent review about it made me revisit my memory about it and I think I agree it wasn't that good... But I really liked it when I was younger

Yeah, event horizon kinda sucks now. But as a kid, it was cool and Dr. Alan Grant freaked me out.

Is Shameless worth watching?
