Ms. OOT 2016: Nomination Thread Ms. OOT 2016: Nomination Thread

11-29-2016 , 01:34 PM
Welcome to your 2016 Ms. OOT Nomination Thread. As mentioned in the last thread, the establishment OOT mods have been on quite a streak of flexing, shutting down or neutering all the popular threads, but together we can make OOT great again. Perennial Ms. OOT host mmbt0ne has retired, and last year's fill-in, Rei, is unable to run it again this year, so you're stuck with me.

The Basics
: Contestants from last year are not eligible this year unless they have achieved extraordinary relevance over the past year. Here are last year's contestants; do not nominate them:

Previous winners are also ineligible; do not nominate them:

2005: Catherine Bell
2006: kinda got sidetracked, but Jessica Alba was more or less running away with it
2007: never happened.
2008: Emmanuelle Chriqui
2009: Kate Beckinsale
2010: Minka Kelly
2011: Alison Brie
2012: Scarlett Johansson
2013: Amber Heard
2014: Alexandra Daddario
2015: Emily Ratajkowski

Based on the extraordinary events of the past year, IVANKA TRUMP has been awarded an exemption and is eligible for nomination this year despite having been in least year's contest

Candidates will be selected from the list of nominations in this thread based on two main factors:
  • Number of nominations and seconds, +1s etc.: Inclusion in the contest, as well as seeding, will be based to a large extent on the level of support in this thread. So if someone you like is already nominated, adding more pics, seconded, thirded, +1, etc will all help her case.
  • Notability, Relevancy, Recency and Level of Attractiveness as judged by me and members of my committee.

How to Nominate: Nominations should include pictures. They should also include the nominees name. If you just post a pic with no name, it won't count for anything. Also,

There's no guarantee that every pic will be to everyone's liking, but at least you get more of a say. In keeping with tradition, animated pictures won't be used in OPs, nor will pics that show nipples or buttholes or whatever.

Also, remember the voting rules require that participants be registered before October of this year, have at least 100 total posts, and at least 10 posts in OOT (OOTV doesn't count).
*** IF YOU DO NOT NOMINATE OR SECOND SOMEONE, DO NOT COMPLAIN WHEN SHE IS LEFT OUT. *** Last year Emma Stone didn't make it into the contest because nobody thought to nominate her.

This thread will be open until Monday. Let the nominations commence!

*A Special Note on Instagram Models: This was an issue of contention last year that has returned in full force. It is the decision of the committee that, while individual IG models may not meet the notability or relevancy criteria, IG models as a group are highly notable and relevant in 2016.

If we wish to mobilize millennial participation, we need to respect their wishes and include IG models in the contest, rather than just putting forth the same tired C-List celebrities who are kinda hot and have been blown out in previous competitions.

I hope that ScreaminAsian will work with me in the capacity of special advisor to help determine which of our IG nominees deserve to make it into the competition. While there is no hard limit or quota on the number of contestants we'll accept from this category, some will be included, but not so many as to alienate the traditional base. I'm sorry Michigan, there is no path for you into this competition.

Nominations from the previous thread. There were other candidates mentioned without pictures, so I'm not counting those here.

This year I'm getting serious: Haley Bennett. Two solid performances this year in The Girl on the Train and The Magnificent Seven.

Remember the Nominations Thread from three years ago when I got laughed out of the building for having the audacity to nominate a girl who "OMG, she doesn't even have a wikipedia page!" Yeah, ChaseNutley remembers. Just thought I'd point that out before the children start posting Instagram models. Me, I'll just second that girl who got me laughed at: Martina Garcia.

And to prove that I'm not *harumph* bitter about that at all, I'll even post a couple of truly hot pictures of her:

And seconds go to:

Ana de Armas
Gal Gadot
Emma Stone

Oh, and Howard's chica, too. Haley Bennett.

Quick question:
Was Jennifer Lawrence really not in the competition last year? If not, wtf?
11-29-2016 , 03:43 PM
I think Lawrence was in it the year before with a special exemption because she'd been in it the year before that. If you feel the injustice of it all stinging your butthole, why not nominate her this year?

And because I'm 100% behind Gal Gadot:

11-29-2016 , 04:00 PM
Ana de Armas (withholding her most pertinent parts for the big show):

11-29-2016 , 04:12 PM
And of course the classy, beautiful, and hilarious Emma Stone:

11-29-2016 , 04:19 PM
fidstar, Miranda Kerr didn't make it in last year because we weren't sure how recent her pics were. For example, she worked for Victoria Secrets from 2007-2013, and a number of your photos are from that era. Although she's more relevant this year than last, with all the news of her engagement to Snapchat billionaire, and we know she was smokin' hot 5-10 years ago, we're just not sure what she looks like these days. If you could provide some pics hat you know are from the last year or two that could help.
11-29-2016 , 04:27 PM
Because I'm old and she's hot, I love Amy Adams:

11-29-2016 , 04:30 PM
Got to at least try to give Gadot some competition:

Margot Robbie

11-29-2016 , 04:34 PM
I was going to say I could co-run it with two other dedicated people (i.e. do ~1/3rd of writeups and picture gatherings, and help decide groupings), but I'm glad you stepped up to the plate to handle it in a more unified way.

One big takeaway from previous years is that the nomination thread shouldn't be used too much to fill in the last slots -- they are usually C-list celebs who are destined to go out in the first round. It's best to make judgement calls and pick people who have a legit chance of winning but who weren't talked about for whatever reason. Emily R. for instance wasn't in the top 32 of +1s.
11-29-2016 , 04:43 PM
Dammit chop, here I told myself I was done looking at beautiful women for the day. I definitely second Margot Robbie.

11-29-2016 , 04:48 PM
another Gadot speedbump:

Anna Kendrick

An FYI for anyone nominating or seconding: I imagine it's quite a bit of work for gregorio or whoever to collect pictures. AFAIK, they don't include gifs, nudes, vids, etc. in their OPs (correct?). So any help you can give them by posting pics I'm sure would be appreciated. If you don't like the pics someone posts in the nomination thread, post more! Make it easy on them. Try to get a variety of pics -- last year I ****ed up and only posted swimsuit pics of Nina Agdal in my nomination post... guess what pics were in her Round 1 thread... guess how long she lasted in the competition.... It's a good idea to have at least a sexy pic, a red carpet pic, a magazine pic, a movie still, and a candid pic, plus any more you might feel like adding.

Juno Temple from Vinyl. The show may have sucked but it was worth tuning in for just for a chance to see her naked.

11-29-2016 , 05:12 PM
Cross posting from other thread: Sherri Papini, kidnapped mom, who was found chained up alongside a California interstate three weeks after being reported missing. Courageous. Brave. And a nice pair of tits.

She's definitely captured my imagination.

It'd be great if I could run the final-ish list by you and get some help deciding whom to keep and whom to cut.
