You might find they are a little small for you (I was very comfortable but only 5'9"). V-star is bigger, obv, maybe you should sneak out to a bike shop and try a couple out!

Re: Motorcycles!!

Went to a pretty bad ass ama event today at VIR that's on the border of NC/VA with my aunt who a sport bike race instructor. It was hot as ****, but we got to see some impressive racing. Oh and a few fine sloots wearing next to nothing was nice too! I don't have a bike yet but hope to get one down the road. Not too sure about racing, but my aunt and several other riders, say its much safer on the track. I can't wait to learn!

Re: Motorcycles!!

Have a 2008 Triumph Bonneville, 1981 Yamaha Seca 550 Cafe Racer and a 1973 Honda CB500 Four. The Mrs. rides the 500 Four predominantly. Love my Triumph. Big enough to pass at 80+ but not too bulky and takes corners pretty nicely.

I think Seca and Seca II are excellent beginner bikes. Super reliable, not too heavy but have good acceleration and handle nicely. Look them up on Craigslist in your area if you are shopping for a first bike.

For beginners who want a new bike, I think the new Moto Guzzi V7 Classic is a kick ass looking bike that is a good size for a new rider. Review Here.

I love Victorys. The 8ball is one of the coolest looking production bikes out there. Best bang for your buck, imo. If they made one with a springer front end, I'd be riding one right now.

Any riders out there?

Is it uncomfortable to ride with bars that high? Always wondered.

They are actually very comfortable. My back stays straight so I don't have to bend forward and the bars are still low enough that I am not reaching upwards for them. Some of the really high, 18" ape hanger bars, I'd imagine would get a bit uncomfortable after awhile.

Finally, a Harley guy that's not slobbing the knob of the MotorCo day and night!

I've since added heat tape to the pipes, and a seat/sissy bar for the wife.

'06 8-Ball. Love it.

Every rider needs 5 bikes.

A touring bike. A crusier. A crotch rocket. A dirt bike. And something vintage that always needs work.

What does the heat tape do? I've always wanted to get it done, but it was strictly based on looks. Does it make a big difference?
