I've been reading a lot of articles about how some companies are promoting "chip parties" where employees get together in a social setting and take turns getting RFID chips implanted in their hands. These chips allow the employees to unlock doors and log in to their computers just by waving their hand in front of a sensor. No lost keys, no forgotten ID badge, and added security. Oh, they can also buy snacks and such at the cafeteria with just their hand. No wallet, cash, or card needed.

I don't like this and, yes, the reason is religious. For those of you non-religious types, would you be opposed to this and if so, why?

I'd definitely have one if I could use it to pay for stuff in a retail situation or start my car.

I wouldnt do it just because I want to have the option to not be tracked everywhere I go or with everything I do. This just sets a bad precedent and when people get comfortable with this, something even more 1984 will be easier to implement

Post #3 has a partial quote. Basically, Revelation says people will be forced to get the mark of the beast on their hands or foreheads or they won't be able to buy or sell anything. Once you get the mark, you belong to the beast (aka antichrist). You're not supposed to get the mark under any circumstances, including death, if you identify as a Christian.

I knew people would laugh at me and mock my beliefs, which is fine. To be expected, actually. I'm just curious as to why people who don't have religious objections would object to the idea of an implant.

well it seems like since you can still pay for stuff with cash or credit so this microchip doesnt apply, since its not required for transactions. So I don't think you need to object to this for religious beliefs

Cash and credit will soon be things of the past and microchip implants and/or microchip tattoos will be the way all transactions are done soon. In the name of better security, of course. As such, refusing an implant now is a necessity.
