Couldnt come up with a great title.

That's not terrible.
03-01-2017 , 01:24 PM
Jane March was a smokeshow.

@LFS:

Would you call Santa Monica High School a fancy public high school? It was probably better in my day than it is now, but it's not BHHS or San Marino.
03-01-2017 , 01:29 PM
No, probably not. For some reason I was assuming you went to Pali. Samohi has been in the news a lot lately, couple of unusual student deaths, and of course Stephen Miller.
03-01-2017 , 01:46 PM
My house was of course closer to Pali than Samo, and much much closer to what is now Malibu High School but which in my day was a junior high school.

I was terrible in my high school mock trial competition. We got to the round of four starting with sixteen teams, but I spent more time flirting with one my teammates than working on the trial.

February is a terrible month. Really hate losing 2-3 days of value from rent/services/subscriptions.
03-01-2017 , 03:44 PM
Why didn't that Gregorio guy even up the lengths of the months when he reformed the calendar? I'm happy having the extra days in July and August because who doesn't love summer, but why not move a day out of January and December into February.

Guy was too busy making hit records.

Do you slightly like all the other months?

Cochran was rather older than I am, but you may well be remembering (correctly) that he was a witness in one of the first cases I ever worked on. I didn't cross-examine Cochran, but I did cross his partner Carl Douglas, who was of course involved in the OJ trial a couple of years later. Cochran was a very likeable guy. Douglas, not so much.

I don't know, but my guess would be that it would be something like Berkeley High which as I know from having had some friends who went there is very good academically if you want it to be/are on that track, but the average scores aren't that great.

And this measure depends on the size of the school and all, but SM High was third in LA county as far as how many kids were admitted to UC Berkeley last year. (behind PV and Arcadia)

I keep seeing clickbait ads suggesting that Larry Bird is or has been bankrupt. I've steadfastly refused to look, but I'm pretty certain that I know enough about Bird's history to say that there's no way he has been bankrupt, unless it was during college or something. Where on earth is this BS clickbait coming from? Does anyone else besides me see it? It shows up on several unconnected sites I frequent. WTF.
03-03-2017 , 11:30 AM
I'm putting the chance of that at squarely 0%.

There's plenty of BS clickbait because that's basically what clickbait is. The one I see all the time is the one with The Rock getting arrested but it's just a picture from one of his movies.

Baa!!!

look at LL over there trying to limit liability for 2+2. H+F touched it last, they gotta clean it up!
03-03-2017 , 11:43 AM
Closing the MLY thread is just gonna lead to her posting more in other threads, including this one, I'm not sure if that's the desired outcome
03-03-2017 , 11:43 AM
just ban her
03-03-2017 , 11:45 AM
Doctor,

Actually it was posters like you who made that thread terrible, and you were called out specifically by basically everyone who dropped names of who they felt was the worst.

So enjoy your next 24 hours away from 2+2 mate.
03-03-2017 , 11:50 AM
I think her being able to log things in H+F is really good for her, and its the right place to do it, so that is my hesitation on outright banning her account.

She's not gonna troll other threads, or she will not be allowed to post here.

It took me a bit to put my finger on exactly what was wrong with this post, then it hit me: the baby is throwing a tantrum because he lost his toy.
