Anyone else ever seen this? It's a horror series on YouTube. It is easily the scariest and most interesting piece of horror I have ever seen -- this coming from someone who goes out of their way to watch anything and everything horror-related.

It's about a film student who tries to make a movie called 'Marble Hornets' but certain things start to happen that greatly affect him psychologically, and his friend is now digging through the film footage and trying to figure out what exactly happened.

The series is done in entries that are numbered and ordered, and should be watched in that order (after the introduction, of course).

So: Anyone in OOT ever check this out? I'd like to hear other people's reactions to it.


Also: If you are easily shaken by horror related things, or you need to sleep for the next few nights, do not watch this.

Im incredibly skeptical that some crappy youtube video series can be anything other than cheesy and dumb, but you have intrigued me enough that I will give it a shot!

I watched the first dozen. I am curious enough about what is going on that I will keep watching. The acting is predictably horrible, but the cool thing is the way the story is there so far has been hardly any. My biggest fear is that the "what is going on?" mystery is just going to drag out forever with no real development and with no resolution. All in all, so far im impressed and is def much better than I would have expected.

It's all very subtle (i.e. did you see it in #7?) and I don't think the low budget is a burden to the project. Just seems like a few kids who are masterful at horror technique wanted to scare the **** out of people and didn't really care about money. Sure, there's no chainsaw scenes or girls crawling out of TVs -- but all that fancy stuff spawns horrible, not scary movies like "Paranormal Activity".

I watched this when it was brand new on the forum it started on. I really enjoyed it and it didn't help that the security people in my building wear black suits.

i watched it when it was new in the beginning, i think i went to like #20 or so. after that the acting got really bad and was just really dumb so i stopped watching. like 2 minutes of the guy driving dumb


edit- after looking quickly at the channel, i watched up to 40 actually

i'm a part-time horror fan, sounds like i'll give it a shot. bookmarked his youtube page, will report back.

anyhow, on #10 now. hoping it picks up a bit, but i'm probably in for the long haul. hell, i might just sit here and watch 'em all.

it's pretty good. i'll probably finish 'em tomorrow, but it's not good enough that i HAVE to finish it today.

calling it 'scary' isn't really what it is. it's interesting, and causes a bit of anxiety. there have been, i dunno maybe 3 or 4 'holy ****!' moments, and quite a few 'borrring c'mon dude' scenes.

i reallyreallyreally hope it ties up well. i'm gonna be pissed if i get to the end and it's not done or i have more questions than answers.
