I have been asked to make this post for a while now, and after a self-imposed hiatus from OOT its time I ante up. In this thread I will show you what a 1-10 looks like on a scale based entirely on looks. I will make a scale for both men and women.
I am not trying to hurt anyone’s feeling with this thread, but to show people what constitutes what, since we have been having a huge debate about this in the “are you good looking” thread. I also hope that maybe people will gain some self-awareness, and a bit of confidence from knowing where they stand. It is always easier to do things when you are playing with a full deck, so knowing how other people perceive your looks is key to getting a head in life.
This scale will feature what the average person looks like for each ranking. I will not use any actors/actresses in this thread because they have a team of people who help them get ready for everything. I will however when needed use both male/female models because they are average people. I also may throw in a poker player or two.
I am not saying my opinions are exactly right, but this isn’t exactly rocket science. OOT’s general consensus should be pretty similar to mine. I believe having been a male model since I was 17; I am uniquely qualified to judge how people look. Living in LA and working in the most superficial industry also adds to my credentials I think.
If you disagree with me on certain pictures then you can let me know, but this isn’t supposed to be a debate on what these people look like. It’s just about what the average person looks like for each scale.
With that, let’s do some ratings!
Male:
1 (About 5% of people fall into this category. This is the absolute nut worst you can look like. For some reason you are just insanely ugly if you fall into this category. The overwhelming majority of 2+2 are young males, so you will almost certainly not fall into this category. It is usually 40-50 year old men who have no sense of hygiene or do not care whatsoever about their appearance.
2 (About 5% of people fall into this category. If you are placed here then you are pretty unfortunate looking, and you have been dealt a bad hand of cards in life. By practicing better hygiene and just doing simple things to alter your appearance you can possibly move up to a 3, and even maybe miraculously a 4.)
3 (About 10% of people fall into this category, and this is not one you want to fall into. Now 1-2 are usually reserved for older gentleman, but a ton of young males do fall into this category. This is usually where the absolute ugliest 20-35 year olds fall. You can improve to a 4 or 5 though if you consistently work on your appearance)
4 (About 17% of people fall into this category. This is the category between ugly and average looking. A lot of people fall into this category simply because they don’t take care of their appearance, more so than any other category. If you take care of yourself you usually won’t fall into this category, there are some cases though where people are just unfortunately ugly looking. And those people do fall here.)
5 (About 27% of people fall into this category. If you fall into this category, then unfortunately you are just not very good looking. Do not worry though; you will still be able to attract a very desirable mate if there is something special about you. Your looks will not doom you to failure, but if you are a social retard then you are screwed.)
6 (About 17% of people fall into this category. This is a good place to be because you are now above average looking. You’re not going to be the next Brad Pitt looking like this, but you are in ok territory. Usually guys who fall into this category if they are doctors/lawyers have no trouble finding beautiful wives.)
7 (About 9% of people fall into this category. This is a very good place to be, not many people are actually legitimate 7s. It is very hard for the average person to place what a 7 looks like because they have no overly beautiful features. These are people who were given great faces, but have nothing special about their faces. It is basically like getting a perfect canvas, but having no artwork on it.)
8 (About 5% of people fall into this category. This is where you should start to thank god for your looks, because you are very blessed. You might not look like a male model, but you are a very good looking guy. You have absolutely no trouble getting women to date you, and beautiful ones at that. You are probably often told you are good looking, but you really aren’t ever told you are stunning. This is what probably the most popular kid from your high school was. There is a big difference between an 8 and 9 though.)
9 (About 4% of people fall into this category. This is where we get into the territory where you could make a living as a model, and make good money doing it. Many people who don’t know how to rate looks say people are 9s way too often. Being a 9 is not only about being extremely good looking, but also having almost perfect features in every other way. You might think a couple of your friends are 9s, but in reality they aren’t. If a supermodel and a athlete or billionaire were to breed, even their children might not turn out to be a 9. It is very hard to place what quite makes for a 9, but having good looking parents definitely helps. Congratulations on being so high up, you can attract any kind of girl you want to with ease.)
This person might look familiar to you, because its Mike “Timex” McDonald. This guy is seriously the ultimate luck box in life, he’s an extremely rich young guy, very talented, and on top of it all is very genetically blessed. I avoided this question during my AMA, but I could see Timex ease into the modeling word with ease.
10 (About 2% of people fall into this category. Way too often people say people are perfect looking, and the truth is almost no one is perfect looking. These are people that are extraordinarily blessed, and they just got lucky. Having very good looking parents doesn’t mean you are going to be a 10, because it is very hard to say why someone becomes a 10. It is just a matter of luck. These people have it way easier in life then their average counterparts; they are usually extremely successful people. If you look like this then congratulations, and don’t waste it.)
This guy is a male model (Sean O’Pry), he is consistently ranked among the top models. And people in the industry say he is pretty much the best looking guy they have ever seen. Every one of his features is basically perfect and that’s what makes him a 10.
Females:
I tried to use pictures with no makeup because makeup can turn a 6 (Kourtney Kardashian) into a 10 if they have the right face for it. This is about what a natural beauty looks like, not some brunette that goes blonde, gets blue contacts, and puts in a **** load of makeup. Of course finding pictures of a 9/10 require using pictures with a little makeup, but I tried to find ones with little to none for the rest.

This is Victoria Secret model Chanel Iman. She is a very beautiful girl, and basically constitutes perfectly what a 9 is. She has a stunning face and almost perfect features, but she just doesn’t have that one in a million look to her. I tried to find a picture where she was wearing very little makeup, there are much better pictures of her done up. This shows what the face of a 9/10 looks like without makeup.

This is supermodel Karlie Kloss. She is generally regarded as the best female model in all of fashion. This is a picture of her with a little makeup on, there are much better pictures of her done up. Her beauty speaks for itself. This is just an average picture of her, because in fairness to all the other girls I posted they weren’t really wearing makeup.
