I really wish I could share the experience of eating 1/4 inch cut well done ribeye in the cafeteria while listening to hundreds of names get called for dismissal.

It's "being chased by coyotes with snapped off trailer park wifi" levels of low

J,

I used to have your annoyed attitude. Now I just chill out and do some email, surf the web, check 2p2, read a book, etc. Much more relaxing that way.
06-22-2017 , 03:16 PM
I already did all that stuff for the first three hours, now I have nothing left to do.

I also get extremely uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time and for some reason this whole process really triggers my claustrophobia.

At least the lunch break movie is "Rango," last time it was something awful

J,

Lunch break movie? Sounds like cushest jury duty ever!

Here they just tell us to gtfo and find lunch somewhere and be back in 90 minutes.

Reminds me of the time they showed a movie on the bus to Philly; 'Miracle on 34th Street', the made for TV remake. It was June.

Lol

Jury duty is a people-watcher's paradise. If you must bring something to distract yourself 100% of your down-time, you're doing it wrong.
06-22-2017 , 04:24 PM
I don't know that there's a more overrated thing in existence than "people-watching." Whenever people try to use that as a primary selling point for an activity, I know right away to pass.

Unless you're at a bikini contest
06-22-2017 , 04:30 PM
Of ****ing course we didnt get to see the ending of Rango
06-22-2017 , 04:34 PM
Spoiler alert:

Spoiler:
I haven't seen Rango.

Cafeteria??!? That courthouse is baller!

I got called to the county courthouse in the tiny little county seat. When we got lunch break the judge said "Go have lunch. You can try Myrtles around the corner or Earl's on A Street. Earl only has 8 chairs though". McDonald's? Burger King? Hah! It'll be at least a hundred years before that town grows enough to get a national chain.

Have only seen 20 minutes of UP.

Lmfao i made it down to like the last ten jurors not to be called or dismissed yet. How does this happen every time?

I just did the math, the odds of this happening twice in a row are almost impossible.

Last ten out of how many?
06-22-2017 , 06:49 PM
300-400. Got dismissed at 3. Same thing happened last time - held for after lunch then dismissed from a group of 50 where like 40 get called

Yea.

That certainly couldn't be your obvious attitude problem and the judge/attorneys/deputies wanting to **** with you.

We all feel very sorry for you.

Everyone but the defendant. That was one happy sumbitch to see jmakin go. No defendant wants to watch One Angry Man.

I think you're trying to make some kind of stupid point here that isn't even valid because I interacted with 0 people today. It's all drawn from a computer's RNG.

A juror whose primary goal is to GTFO doesn't seem the likeliest to cause this.
