When I had to raise the orphan I found, this was by far the worst part of it. You get the hang of it after a while, but there's a special spot/way you need to stimulate the anus to get them to go. My poor little guy got a rash from me rubbing down there with the wet towel so often. And then when they finally do decide to go, it's like a ****ing lava stream of **** that surprises you in its smell and quantity. I went through so many towels/rags during those few weeks that I just threw away because I couldn't get the piss and **** smell out of them.

Then finally out of the blue they decide to start using a litter box. Like they just wake up one day and go "**** this, I've had it." Animals are crazy.

Merino wool really isn't necessarily the best since there are better wearing wools (merino has a short staple and mill-spun merino isn't spun tightly enough to offset this) but it is ever so nice and squishy and most people don't really care about long-wearing socks since we've all gotten used to expendable socks but nobody cares about my esoteric knowledge of fiber arts so I'll shut up now.
