This is my favorite idea and if I wasn't concerned about getting struck down by lightning for entering a church I'd consider it. I'm sure there isn't a priest though. The dealer almost certainly attends a bible thumping, laying hands on people, pentecostal church w/ a pastor.

It's quite the long game but finding and attending his church only to wait quietly and then speak up when the pastor calls out for prayer requests in front of the whole congregation would be amazing.

I would have completely lost my **** at the whole taking god's name in vain thing. Unlikely to get tractor repaired though

At that point I realized I was talking to a wackadoodle but it wasn't until he told me god might strike me down with lightning that I lost my ****.

I was trying to conduct a business negotiation and the man on the other end of the line was telling me that a mythical, hypocritical, being in the clouds might strike me down with lightning for mentioning his name. It's a difficult negotiating position to be in. You're correct, I am probably equally likely to get the tractor repaired as i am to be struck down by lightning.

I think I mentioned before about having the driver yips but really it's the teebox yips. It culminated today in shooting 60 over 9...WITH THREE PARS
07-14-2017 , 10:32 PM
Was it 6 quads and 3 pars or more exciting than that?

I think I had a bogey and a quint mixed in there somewhere

Photobucket emailed that they were no longer allowing 3rd party hosting unless I sign up and pay some amount. If I don't all of my linked images on here will be that question mark box. I assumed they'd charge a nominal fee but it turns out that they want $399.00 A YEAR!

So there's no way that I'm paying that. Somebody tell me where else I can go for free or cheap, tia. Yes, I did look around but it's a bit confusing.

I've always just used tinypic, but it stores for only a limited time and limited number of viewings. There are probably some other disadvantages too that I can't remember.

Howard, ask about the AARP discount!
07-15-2017 , 11:58 AM
imgur is is the correct way to share images. get the extension that lets you right click anything to rehost and can auto upload screen grabs

Cute quip! I suppose that I'll try imgur but it's still the case that all of my linked pics will now disappear, damn it! And wtf?, I mean WTF? w/ $399? I got a robo reply to my email, fwiw. I really can't imagine many ppl willing to pay that ridiculous amount.

Just another in a long list of web sites that found out providing something for free doesn't make any money.

Specifically with photo sharing this has been an ongoing problem for so long.

Google/Microsoft/Amazon needs to step up and offer a free photo sharing service and in turn maybe use the data anonymously to train neural nets, or whatever. But image hosts dying and leaving historic internet discussions broken sucks and keeps happening.

When imgur falls apart a lot of people will be in bad shape image-wise.

These new OOT threads are making me feel as old as Howard Beale and his avatar

What if the forum owner (Two Plus Two, in this case) hosted every image posted? Would the cost be prohibitive?

Not at $399 per year.
07-15-2017 , 07:42 PM
Depends on who's in power
07-15-2017 , 07:47 PM
Why is it so expensive to host images? ( I have no clue how exactly that works)

seriously so annoying

if imgur goes down we're doomed

Hah... I've been lightly trolled at times because I use photobucket, but the only reason I stick with it and pay a few buck a year for it is to save this forum from encountering even more little-blue-question-mark-boxes.

Spoiler:
you're welcome

I know a guy that does that, but the forum is his personal plaything and membership is limited.
