Virulent conflict over the a stop action picture of a cat jumping to a counter. I think the main point of contention was whether the cat was blue and black or white and gold but I could be wrong.

I was late to the party because I didn't read the containing forum, but the BILF thread had me in tears. Too bad the pics are mostly gone

"Will the Cat Make the Jump" started as "Antonius Called Galfond a Nit." In response to some typical NVG idiocy, someone posted

which then led to 100s of posts about whether or not the cat would make the jump, so at that point it was pretty much an OOT thread.

Where's the cat jumping from? It's not visible in the picture so clearly there has to be a fairly large horizontal component of velocity off of some off screen kitchen island or something, I say he barely makes it

Hot dogs are so under-rated. Burgers are everywhere but it is much harder to find a nice selection of hot dogs.

I quoted myself below so that you could confirm that I didn't state that particular hot dog was under-rated but that hot dogs as a basic food group are under-rated. I stand by that conviction! If the basics are there, then there are just so many possible great variations. The one ED posted did look mighty tasty.

Yeah, not keen on mayo on a hot dog.

Hot dogs are indeed an underrated food. I worked for a time at BofA in SF down on Market St. One of my favorite things about that job was getting a hotdog from a street vendor on the corner. I'm a simple man though. Sauerkraut and mustard was my go to. Sometimes I went with stewed onions. My mouth is watering just thinking about those hot dogs
