UPS is drop and go.

USPS once didn't deliver a package I'd ordered. It listed on the truck, never made it to me.

I went to my local postmaster. He told me it was a substitute carrier that day. I said so ****ing what? Not my problem. Where's my package? Postmaster shrugged. I said that's a good racket. Substitute carrier, steal packages, and you shrug. Then he rolled his eyes at me.

Merchant covered me because the trail ended on the USPS truck.

Ever since then I have taken the attitude '**** USPS'. I'll pay extra for FedEx or UPS.

I much prefer Amazon's delivery people. Second choice is when they hook up w USPS. UPS leaves my packages at a neighbor's house (unintentionally) a very high percentage of the time.

Amazon's delivery people taking an a picture of where they left the package is A+.
Same. The biggest delivery blunder was courtesy of UPS who delivered a package 10 blocks away somehow.

oreo - c'mon man you know better than to ask that.

DOGS - the moment is lost.

How does everyone not just have an Amazon locker attached to their house next to the front door.
01-13-2018 , 05:02 AM
Yeah, that should be included with Prime.
01-13-2018 , 07:20 AM
They should build buildings around the city filled with nothing but Amazon lockers.
01-13-2018 , 02:23 PM
Chop,

No need for everyone to have an amazon locker. They’ll be delivering stuff to inside your house.

The obvious answer is to not live in ****holes where they steal things off your porch.
01-13-2018 , 02:34 PM
Have the time I order something it "can't be shipped to" a locker. Things that could easily fit, like clothes.
01-13-2018 , 03:44 PM
For a non-****hole country, you guys sure seem to have a lot of problems with basic services.

How the hell does an EAS false alarm happen?!
01-13-2018 , 04:06 PM
oT,

ESA emergency? Where??!?!?!??!?! Oh, EAS, nm.

I'm really struggling to figure out what I'd be doing if I got that message this morning. Like, do you sit around with your family telling them you love them and saying goodbye, then it becomes super awkward when it's deemed to be a false alarm?
01-13-2018 , 04:48 PM
I don't really love you guys, heh...

How the **** does something like that get triggered by something as simple as pushing a button?
I can't even turn off my antivirus software without confirming and re-confirming it 4 times!

Just read the whole New York Times article. No mention, but I would be shocked if it didnt result in numerous deaths. Im certain many people interpreted that message as "all of Hawaii will be destroyed within minutes". Some people killed themselves, or killed others because they thought it was over soon anyways.

what else can you possibly do?

My dog just peed all over my basement beer room/office. Ask me anything.
01-13-2018 , 11:27 PM
What kind of dog?
01-13-2018 , 11:34 PM
Cavachon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon Frise mix)

7 months old

Edit: This is from pleasant weather, with a leash that was subsequently chewed through.
01-13-2018 , 11:39 PM
The upside is that he peed on this ****ty Pier 1 papasan that I've had for like 20 years, so I think it's going to prompt me to replace it with a nice couch.

Kind of like how, when I was rear-ended recently, I was hoping my insurance company would just declare the car totaled so I'd be forced to get a new car.

Over under on how many people had random end of the world stranger sex?
