If a date activity is supposed to be representative of one's personality, then it would be held in my home or the home of the other party, because I hate going outside. Does this ever happen? Have any of you held a date at home? Probably not, right? It would be incredible, you can get to know a person without all of the bull**** involved with a public setting.

Dates at home happen all the time, just not first dates with someone you have never met because that's weird and creepy.

As for the touching thing you have it a bit wrong and I honestly wouldn't even worry about it given you're at level 0 now given you can't even muster up the courage to ask a simple "How is your day going?" to a fast food worker you find attractive.

The touching thing is a game within the game and it's certainly not required on the first date unless your sole goal is to get laid. Have you not ever joked around with someone and playfully touched them? This is the context you start the game in, not randomly brushing up against a girl's legs or touching her without having the vibe set. There is a very subtle difference betwen it being creepy and accepteable.

It all comes with experience and being able to read the situation. There is no road map, do this, then this etc.. it just doesn't work like that. You have to put yourself out there and learn through experience.

The overall thing I'd say I've learned from all of this is there is no quick-fix type solution, and the only real means to improvement is to "get out there" and fail a bunch of times first. That's rather depressing, and I doubt I'll ever "muster up the courage" to go through all that pain, but I suppose I need to hear the truth.

Doesn't everybody want to find someone that shares their values? It's not as if I'm anti-shower, it's simply that I fail to see the point when I'm sitting alone in my room all day. I've already said that I would clean myself up if I found myself in a dating situation. I just don't see the point when I'm alone. I honestly have no idea what "kind of girl" would be interested in me. Even just based upon looks. If people want to post examples of a 1.7 I'd appreciate it. That one lady with the cake is more like a 1.1, imo.

Edit: in my junior year of high school, this one girl would hold my hand as we came back from lunch. I had no interest in her whatsoever, even as a friend, so it was weird as hell.
