Re: iPhone Thread Volume 3 - 4th Gen Announced

I'd rather not actually use a case it kinda defeats the purpose of having a nice looking phone if you wrap it in bulky stuff. That Elago does look better than most though.

Some sort of invisible shield sounds much better though

I'd say so. I've seen other ones and most of them pretty plastic-like and tend to peel/bubble. I've dropped mine a couple times and haven't had any problems but I'm sure if you dropped it hard enough it might dent. It's not incredibly different from the regular phone, just a bit less "slick" I guess.

Kinda funny video relating to that:

I've seen more invisible shields than not that just look crappy after a month or two on the phone with the peeling and all. One of my friends has one on right now that just looks horrible. I've told him many times to just take the damn thing off because it's an eyesore.

For the last few years, I gone with the SGP/Steinheil screen protectors. I've tried just about all of the screen protectors out there and these are the best IMO. They are cut just a little smaller than the others so there is no problem with bubbling and they don't peel at all.

Right now I'm using the Ultra Fine which protects against fingerprints but dulls the screen a little. If that bothers you, go with the Ultra Oleophobic.

i have the phonedevil screen protector. messed up the first one, second one i got on and you simply can't tell it's on. no bubbles, doesn't feel any different whatsoever. it gets scratches pretty easily though, but still happy with it.

Could probably make some good money advertising yourself as a professional invisible shield installer. Those things are such a pain.

Re: iPhone Thread Volume 3 - 4th Gen Announced

As long as you install it properly there's no real problems with it bubbling/peeling. I've had mine since the 3GS came out and the only problem is that the rounded parts kinda peel but the front has been fine. You can't even really tell it's on, some people ask why I don't have a screen protector on my phone lol. I'm assuming now that the iPhone is square on the back it would be much easier to apply as long as you follow the instructions.

Re: iPhone Thread Volume 3 - 4th Gen Announced

It does show up on my phone — but I can't download it because I have an older iOS (it needs 4.3 or better, it says).

Edit: Never mind, downloaded OK using iTunes; I can install it when I upgrade the iOS.

Now, uh... it's good? (I just grabbed it because you said to.)

Re: iPhone Thread Volume 3 - 4th Gen Announced

Anyone here having problems with their phone's iPod after the lastest update?

I can't go back a song anymore. Sometimes it works, but not usually. Sometimes hitting it 10 times works but not usually. I have no idea why, going forward is never an issue.

iphone 4 fully updated

Re: iPhone Thread Volume 3 - 4th Gen Announced

I just bought a brand new iPhone 4 for my son. My son has AT&T and turns out the one I bought was Verizon. Can I flash it or is my only option dumping it and buying an AT&T one? I forgot other companies besides AT&T had the iPhone.

Completely different hardware; nothing you can do but (try to) take it back.
