Thing is I don't even really know her. She's the little sis of an old friend of mine from 16 years ago. Last I saw her she was like 7 years old. I messaged her asking if her brother was on FB and she sent me a friend request (don't honestly even think she remembered me) but she's collected like 900 friends and I thought it was standard to accept a friend request lol. She teaches women's studies and writing at Oregon and constantly posted **** about Shakespeare's chauvanistic writing style or some bull****

Honestly thought this was a quote of a narcissistic facebook status, til I read the second part.

I always thought of posts like this as mildly annoying but harmless...until one day my sister-in-law posted some paragraph along the lines of "Teachers work hard to do blah, blah, blah, and blah, if a teacher has made a difference in your life, repost this" (she's a teacher obv).

Much to my surprise, a whole bunch of people, including my wife's (former) friend, came out of the woodwork to post angry "must be nice to work six hours a day for 180 days a year" and "teachers are the reason my kid's messed up" type messages in response. It was a nice flame war that went on for a couple of days, wish I still had access to the posts (a lot of stuff wound up getting deleted). Was kind of entertaining while it lasted.

Got preggo about 5 years (@18 like 2 months outta hs) ago cheated on her boyfriend w/ another guy while she was still preggo. They broke up and she immediatly moved in with guy #2.

Stayed with him until a month or two ago, in a new apartment every 2-3 months cause they would get evicted for being scumbags (literally they smell), and obv for not paying bills cause they can't hold jobs.

Cheated on guy #2 w/ the current guy #3 and broke up with #2 immediately moved in with #3 and his 3 kids. So now they have four kids on a full time applebees cook pay... oh yeah and kid number five on the way. According to her they were trying to have one together b/c they're so in love.

I live five hours away we went to visit family this past week and she came over to my mothers to say hi with her group of 4 kids. My three year old wouldn't play with the other kids or go near my sister and her boyfriend, I asked him why he was hiding and playing alone he said "they're stinky".

But yeah I seem to recall saying to my mom and dad that I'm not ready to be apart of that dudes family and his 3 kids yet regardless of how infatuated she is.

She has the major chip I guess b/c she is compared to my wife and I and we made responsible choices like having steady income, getting married, actually planned a family etc...

But yeah my wife and I have just been lucky and she just gets screwed by life. That is her point of view.

I loaned her quite a substantial amount of money a few years ago b/c she was going to lose her car, get evicted, and she couldn't eat etc... I made the mistake of bragging about a good mtt weekend on FB. I knew I'd never see the money back but at least I know she'll never put me in that position again.

We have our ten year reunion later this year and there is a group on facebook. It has been a total **** show with people bitching about the location, so much so that a second group spun off and started their own separate reunion. The groups are now bashing each other on their walls.

I was on the fence about going in the first place, and the behavior in the group pushed me firmly into the "no way in hell am I going" category.

Friend had his first child ~3 months ago, has posted 1k+pics of her since, normal?
