i have everyone hidden on my news feed. that was just so i wouldn't even have to look at it while on chat or writing a message (which has recently become combined by the new messages update which is ****ing retarded)
then i found out you can connect to fb chat through an aim-like program called pidgin, so i don't really log in very often at all anymore

28 YO divorced male. These kinds of updates anger me the most for some reason, although I don't really know why. Even if there was two words added on at the end of it explaining what happened that made it a great day it would be completely acceptable to me, but these kind can only be trumped by the equivalent but in a negative fashion stating something horrible happened, but not ever stating what it was.
