i agree with the others but not entirely with this one. i'm all for not being a fatass, but i also think a person can be genuinely happy while eating too much, or drinking too much, or doing hard drugs, or whatever vices will shorten their life span. time is relative. if living shorter = not real happiness, does living longer = real happiness? there are lots of healthy people who are going to live a very long time who are ****ing miserable. i believe the reverse is true too

We're comparing lifestyle choices of individuals. It is not one individual fat person's fault that a bunch of other people are also fat and need tax money spent on them and so the sample is significant enough to appear on the chart. One person takes a risk and eats and may need taxpayer money, another person takes a risk and goes climbing and may need taxpayer money. The two should not be distinguished from each other just because more people eat too much.

Oh, that one was a bit of a stretch on my part.

I mean obviously fat people can and should be happy- but I do think that they shouldn't be fully "content". The more complex, sensitive version of my post is "why you shouldn't let the fact that you are overweight ruin your self image, you should also accept that it is very unhealthy to be obese and that it's not something you should ever embrace in any fashion".
