"Deal with" != "Love it".

And deal with it or leave it are exactly your options. It gets old pretty fast seeing post after post of people saying they hate the changes. We get it - you don't like it.

ya free argument is terrible. Unless you think you're personal information and preferences costs $0.

Not as terrible as constantly bitching about a UI change of a product no one is forcing you to use and a product that has an existing rival that is pretty easy to use (Google+).

exactly.

and for the same reasons, when my friends fly overseas and bitch about long checkin lines, absurd baggage fees and long flight delays i tell them they have no right to complain cuz there's a canoe rental place not too far away with none of these problems.

Re: idiotic / narcissistic / annoying facebook statuses

This morning I have two notifications, both from a former HS classmate.

Quote:
Confused Person listed you as her family member. To approve this relationship for your profile, go to Profile Review.
Confused Person said you attended Moorpark College together. To approve this school for your profile, go to Profile Review.
Not her family member, didn't attend her community college. I wonder if she was randomly clicking stuff late last night, or how exactly this happened.

Hmm, but on Profile Review if I wanted to approve the "family member" one, it has a drop down list for "select relation". I could approve the listing and say she's my wife.

Yes - Facebook : Google+ :: Jet Plane : Canoe

Not to mention, when I pay for a ticket for a specific time I have a reasonable expectation that the company will provide that service. Should we have a reasonable expectation that Facebook won't change the UI?

Anyway, A+ for effort.

Re: idiotic / narcissistic / annoying facebook statuses

So if your brother-in-law lists you as his brother on facebook do you fix that or do you take it as a sign he is cool with the fact that you married his sister?

Also, saw big banner on Yahoo! News informing me that if I accidentally click on the Facebook icon it will let everyone know I was reading an article titled "Porn magnate funds $1 million quest to embarrass Perry".

what airline in history has ever sold tickets for a specific time? those are estimated times and are often wrong. there's no money back guarantee or anything similar if you don't get your "specific time".

Sorry. I'm sure hilarity would have ensued, but too much of it coming at my expense. Another option I briefly considered was to make her my step-daughter. But I made the boring choice of dismissing the family member notification and now it is gone forever. (BOOOOOOOO!)

You're completely wrong. In fact, a couple of flights ago I got the whole ticket price refunded to me (even documented here on 2+2).

Airlines don't cover things beyond their control (like weather, volcanoes) or minor delays - but almost all airlines will give you money back if they screw up (mechanical problems for the plane, crew problems, whatever) and cause a significant delay.
