I didn't get that far, but Jeff's **** with the ring seems pretty ******ed (or at least if you're going to propose to a girl, you should know enough to know how that situation is going to make her react, even if it's not that reasonable).

Mostly it's impossible to pick a side because they both decided to play it out on facebook so everybody should suffer.

Seems likely they reported each other's comments.

I'll try to get an update later maybe. Last I heard someone at the end of the thread said "This was an amazing thread to read thank you everyone" lol.

I guess I can include more details since people are interested...

Jeff and Ashley became engaged after a week of dating.

Jeff previously had it out with an ex in a similar fashion IRL in front of many friends and strangers at a party.

Mid 20s. I don't really care to give more details about how I'm connected to this situation since the e-detectives are out.

But on the bright side, the bulls are doing well

Not a status but I was browsing the Facebook page of Washington Redskins kicker Graham Gano and saw a picture of him in his Florida State uniform with the word "Pain?" written on the back of his hand.

His explanation: "My knee hurt all season after having surgery. I wrote that every game to remind myself that no matter how much pain I was in, it was nothing compared to what Christ experienced on the cross. He is my motivation."

I thought that was kinda funny.

But they likely hang out with kids who do, and have to make it look like they are SO SHOCKED and outraged that they, too, didn't get one. While deep down they know their dad may have just lost his job or whatever.

It was a lot easier to hide the fact that you weren't as cool or rich as the cool kids back when we were younger. I can't imagine going through high school with Facebook.... must be utter hell when you think about it. Huge net-negative.

I mean adults do this, too. Look at your friends' FB pics and it looks like all they do is party and travel and have a good time and their life is perfect, because that's what is presented. I have friends and family members that are going through tough times and depression right now that if you looked at their FB page you'd think their life is awesome and perfect and better than yours. It's all smoke and mirrors. Doesn't seem like a lot of people understand that, though. Especially not 16 year olds.
In other words nothing has changed. It's still the same bull****ting, social masking facade. Anything short of real-time, interactive, in person mind-reading technology is going to prevent this.

This thread is one of the reasons I joined this site fwiw. 1. There are a lot of great posts in this thread 2. I (like pretty much everyone) see quite a few idiotic facebook statuses that I can post 3. One of my best friends is an alcoholic/addict/writer/schizophrenic that just doesn't give a **** and he has a penchant for getting completely hammered and going off just about every other day.

Curious as to whether or not there would be interest, so here is a sample:

Quote:
Take 2: H-H-HEY-hey-HEY, everybody, I'm Ray Liotta, and this goddamit is the Ray Liotta Show! Also kidding, Ray's a good guy and he's riding away on a gravy train with buiscuit wheels..actually I'm XXXXXXXX, the resident ******* for your fb experience. You remember me from high-school, guy voted most likely to blow **** up for no reason? Heah, I've done that, tool-pumper. I'm here to tell you, "YOU MADE RIGHT DECISION." I could never make pillburry dough-boy cookie cutter slam bang for the kid-holes like YOU can. Let's get real?! After all, this is my theme. Yours is more like Nugent. Good ulta-stall. Luvvs, toodles, ball-sacks, your pal, just me.
Followed by him replying to his own status with these separated comments, all within minutes of the above post :

Amongst all the crank hallunations, that can get confusing, let's try again.
