Oh, sure, but I'm not American so I've avoided most of the hype and just don't care as much. It hasn't become as big of an eye roll for me as I'm sure it has for others.

'F8th' is universal, though.

not to anoint (ducwidt) myself as the resident Christian translator, but they are essentially saying "Lord help us to pray like Tebow does" and not literally "Lord lead us to [the person] tebow"

eh i respectfully disagree. in the case of some replies to some statuses i might agree with you. but "getting groceries" is well in the territory of something that absolutely nobody on FB cares about and anything that might slightly discourage the frequency of that kind of useless crap is alright with me. there's also a note of humor to the reply in that i'd guess most who read the status can relate to it. i mean, what compels someone to post that status? i just don't see the justification, so screw them imo

If you're going to troll that, do it right. Every half hour for a few hours, post the following replies:

"just finished reading your status"
"had to sneeze, but grabbed a tissue just in time. whew!"
"might have to have dinner soon, getting hungry"
"now wishing I didn't have to work tomorrow"
"just checked your wall to see if you posted any new statuses, nope"
"still waiting for an update on this grocery situation"

etc.
