"When I come up with a witty Facebook post that involves some sort of news or culture blurb, I've had two friends not comment or otherwise acknowledge what I've written, but they copy my idea or some of the content, put their own twist on it and post it as their own.

They are also close friends with each other and I'm not so close to either of them, but we have many mutual friends. They are both queen bee/dramatic types who see themselves as arbiters of wit and culture. They're otherwise thoughtful, supportive people. I'm thinking of no longer ignoring this, so I'm looking for civil, witty ways to address it. Thank you!"

Given the description of that behavior, I'm going to say the kid is on the autism spectrum, but since "autistic" carries a stigma, she refers to him as "non-neurotypical".

Seems like a fancy way of saying kid has ASD. Also it might sound insensitive to complain about her child having autism, whereas non-NT doesn't seem as insensitive, partly because most people won't immediately know what it means. Just think how it'd sound to essentially say "Having a kid with autism is such a drag...

The non-neurotypical update is a very good candidate for the thread. She tries to sound smart with the words she uses, but it looks like she's just throwing darts at a dartboard. Plus she doesn't seem concerned whatsoever about the actual child - just about how she is seen. A+++ would neurotype again.
