"But one thing is for sure, I love every moment of it and wouldn't have it any other way!"

This is a common theme that runs through these updates. Seems like they are desperately trying to convince themselves.

Anyone who talks about fake people is going to be completely insufferable.

The nacho status is not totally fine--why does anyone give a **** that somebody ate a bunch of nachos?

Some cokehead I used to be friends with posted this:

"Taking a trip to Dallas this week."

Okay, so? I want to comment with "Neat" but I have a feeling he won't pick up on the sarcasm. Perhaps "Boy, that sure is interesting" would be better.

Stuey Griffin said "Bazing!" after one of his lines a few years ago. I guess this is a popular thing along with its variations. who knew?

You tell people where you are going so that if they happen to be in the same place, you can meet for lunch or drinks or something.

In before "why the **** would anybody want to hang out with anyone else?!?"

my fb has been gone for a month or so but honestly half these statuses are so ridiculously beyond standard for people str out of high school or in college at least from my 500 or so fb friend sample size....some of them are hilarious dont get me wrong, but the vast majority ITT are literally things i used to see on an hourly basis...i never de-friended anyone because of them however

This.

Whenever I go someplace where I know a bunch of people and I'm going to be there for more than a day or two I always post it. It avoids having to tell everyone you're there, it avoids having anyone offended because you forgot to tell them, and it means people will invite you to anything that's happening because now they know you're around.

Why do people have to give a **** about every status? If they're random comments from a person that doesn't post an excessive amount of time - I don't give a **** and sometimes I'll be like - damn, I feel like kabobs too.

Complaining about inane status updates is annoying in itself. They're so completely standard its not worth commenting on.

"Hi, Monday. You came too soon. Again."

I really want to comment on the wording used but I'll refrain. It's taking a hell of a lot of self control tho.

But it's not? At all. That's like how Facebook is supposed to be used. This last page or so has really lost track of the idiotic/narcissistic/annoying part of the thread title and switched to just posting facebook statuses.

Agreed. The bar for acceptable Facebook statuses is pretty low - since it's obviously meant for inane stuff and general impersonal-blast-style comments on your life (like telling people that you're visiting a city where you have a bunch of friends).

This thread is for making fun of the idiots that can't even meet that low bar.

Edit: Not to say that there isn't a reasonable point in mocking all Facebook posts - but in that case you should just be leaving Facebook.
