This one's been posted by 3 people on my friends list in the last 2 hrs and has 33 likes (and of course its horrible):

You wouldn't have to sift through the garbage and you don't need them as friends anyway.

It's easier/smarter to just hide them from your feed imo, which is what I do.

I always have this thought that if I remove one of the annoying people, I'll eventually see them uptown and it'll turn into an awkward "why did you remove me" thing. I just hide them all.

Nothing personal, but I hate the pseudo-intellectual tendency to use "-i" for the plural of every word ending in "-us". Maybe you were using it kiddingly, but lots of people do it because they think it makes them look smart.

Noted. But at least I used it correctly. Using "stati" as the plural of "status" is wrong. The word "status" comes from the Latin for "stand": sto, stare, steti, statum. "Status" is not a Latin noun and therefore does not have a Latin plural.

Came in here to mention this type of stuff. Couple of my teacher friends have been posting about the school year starting. It's annoying as hell because more of the posts are self-congratulatory and self-praising for how awesome they are for being teachers and shaping tomorrow's future. One just posted a link to "An Ode to Teachers" and raised his proverbial internet glass to all his coworkers. Same guy spent a month or so bitching and posting about the school district not giving them a raise, complains about not having any money, but "wanted to relax" all summer rather than work summer school (or get another job).

Dont most teachers make like 40k and have 3 months off? Seems more than fair.
