Not a status but it's tilting as hell when not only someone obviously presses the "not now" button your friend request instead of just denying it, but FB still shows you all that person's status updates in your newsfeed, including them accepting new friends that aren't you. Worst of all, it's my old Chem teacher from HS (who is mid-30's hot Portugese woman fwiw) that I also worked for as a lab assistant/grader for a year

Lol I work with a bunch of Indian dudes who have all been requesting to be my friend, even though I don't know half of them, just because we have like 5 coworker friends in common now. I just realized they are all seeing that.

One of them is a boss. Not my boss, but still, I really don't think I want a boss reading my political rants or seeing my friends tag me in drunken dancing at some bar. He seems cool but I just don't like it. So I not-now-ed him, which may have been the worst move. Thoughts?

Do you own a house or rent? To avoid a potentially uncomfortable situation I would quietly slip out of town but that's obviously harder to do if you're a homeowner.

If it makes you feel better, sometimes I "not now" a little too extensively because it's so easy, and then when I realize I've been holding off on person X I feel dumb. You can still hit that, buddy.
